THE PINCH BOLT FITS INTO A GROOVE IN THE STEERING GEAR INPUT SHAFT TO ENSURE THAT THE STEERING SHAFT DOES NOT SEPARATE FROM THE STEERING GEAR IF THE PINCH BOLT COMES LOOSE.
