Model Year 2022 Freightliner, Western Star, Freightliner Custom Chassis, and Thomas Built Bus vehicles manufactured with the following engines have been built without a Particulate Matter (PM)/Soot sensor: DD15 Gen 5 (Gats 2.0) (with a June 2021 or later GHG build date) DD13 Gen4 (1-box) (with a June 2021 or later GHG build date) Cummins B6.7 (with a June 2021 or later GHG build date) Cummins X15 with ratings of 400-500HP (with a June 2021 or later GHG build date) As a result, the vehicle has a non-conforming On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) system. The engine manufacturers will pay to install the OBD PM sensor and corresponding software through a recall once sensors become available.

REVISION: Some vehicles formerly in Group F have been moved to Group G and have been assigned a new part number as specified in Table 1. An SRT for 'Calibration Code Only: Update or Confirm' has been added, as shown in Table 2, to be used when a new DEF header is not required. There have been some other minor changes to the work instructions and SRT times.

Some customers experience separation of the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) lines from the connection ports in extreme cold temperatures. To prevent this, a process was developed to secure the lines with wire ties. A new reinforcement cap has been developed to simplify this process at the DEF connection fittings.

Certain early production eB2 buses may complain of an intermittent amber colored battery light flickering or illuminating for no reason. A new software update for the EV controller has been developed to correct this issue. Additionally, durability testing has determined that a crack could form in the coolant pump mounting bracket. A reinforcement brace has been designed to reduce the risk of this crack forming.

Daimler Trucks North America has released a new axle shaft to hub rubber O-ring (part number 11-30728-000) as a replacement for the paper gasket (part number 11-14418-000). The new O-ring will provide better sealing and is reusable. It is quicker and easier to use compared to the paper gasket, because using a paper gasket requires cleaning the hub when the axle shaft is removed.

On certain vehicles, the park brake alarm software parameter may be disabled. With a disabled park brake alarm, if the driver turns off the ignition without setting the park brake, the park brake alarm may fail to emit an audible sound. REVISION: Due to a software parameter change that was not updated at the host, the SF633 repair provided during August 2021 through August 2022 was not adequate. The host has been updated and the repair will now rectify the issue. SF633 has been re-released with a new termination date of September 30, 2023.
