 Dont charge the battery before the test, jump start the vehicle if needed. Read out the vehicle with VIDA and start the test.

Over an extended period of time, this could lower the cell voltages and eventually degrade the battery. Periodically check the high voltage battery state of charge and keep it at or above 25% as per the instructions in the owners manual for "Long-term storage of vehicle with hybrid batteries".

This TJ is released to inform that a method is changed in VIDA regarding replacement of fuel low pressure sensor (LPS). Make sure that the sound is coming from the engine pad, NOT from the drive shaft. Remove the left engine pad and split by removing the small screw. Lubricate with graphite grease (PN 1161851) on points as in attachment. Torque for small screw is 8 nm.

A new design of the balance shaft is planned to be introduced 2018-Q2. Replace the balance shaft according the instructions in VIDA. Please remove the front door midrange loudspeaker in accordance with VIDA instructions. The speaker must be inspected from the rear side of the woofer cone. Check for a screw stuck between the membrane and spider-cage assembly. See attached picture, "TJ 33419 screw.jpg". The screw may be possible to remove with long nose pliers without damaging the membrane or spider surfaces. If the membrane or spider surfaces are damaged, please replace the loudspeaker. A magnetic sleeve was introduced into the supplier assembly process during 2018w05 to reduce the possibility for this issue.
