Upgrade C000017 on certain Android-based Infotainment system (iCup) vehicles that have missed three (3) or more consecutive Over-The-Air (OTA) downloads. C000017 also addresses certain EX90s that have missed one (1) or more OTA downloads. Complimentary Upgrade C000017 addresses vehicles that are no longer able to receive OTA updates. This Upgrade is necessary to have the correct baseline for future OTA deployments. In order to explain the features and benefits we recommend noting the software level before the download is completed. This will aid in explaining to the customer what improvements have been added since their last software download. To remedy concerned cars, please follow the instructions outlined in TJ 36139.

Model Year 2021 XC40 Recharge vehicles. When using the ?Care Key?, there are some settings that are faulty and not possible to change from the Infotainment Head Unit (IHU) menu. Volvo has identified that when using the Care Key, some functions will not work as intended as some settings are incorrect. Below settings are affected when you use the Care Key: ? Driver Information Module (DIM) = Always km/h and Celsius. Not possible to select mph and Fahrenheit. ? Unlock/lock feedback = Mirrors will always fold, no light indication ? Trip information in DIM = Always none - Cannot show average speed, fuel consumption etc. ? Interior light = Always off in door seal and foot area, when you are driving. ? Welcome light = Always on - When you unlock the car. The corrective action is to download a Total Upgrade software. A10091 affects 880 vehicles in the U.S. An additional benefit to this software is that it enables the XC40 P8 Recharge to now be provisioned to the Volvo-On-Call app.

S10083 on certain Volvo XC40 Recharge Model Year 2021 vehicles. Volvo has identified that the rear wiper motor protected by a 5 ampere fuse instead of a 15 ampere fuse was mounted in the central junction box. There is a risk that the 5A fuse will blow earlier if put under too much strain, for instance when a rear wiper is blocked due to ice or snow build up. In a worst-case scenario, the fuse will blow and the rear wiper will not function. No DTC?s or DIM messages will be set if the fuse is blown. The corrective action is to replace the incorrect 5A fuse with a 15A fuse.

S10266 on certain model year 2021- 2023 V90CC, S90l, XC60, XC90, XC40 and C40 vehicles. Volvo Car Investigations have identified that iCUP vehicles with a software version earlier than V2.3 need updating to ensure the proper functioning of the mobile apps features. As a result, there is a possibility of losing remote functions in the Volvo Car App, such as lock/unlock and climate control. The corrective action is to perform a total software upgrade. S10266 affects 413 vehicles in the U.S and 9 in Canada.

certain model year 2021 - 2022 XC40 vehicles. Volvo has identified that a conflict between the air condition pressure hose and air condition suction hose, may cause risk of chafing. The corrective action is to replace the rubber sleeve on the air condition hose to prevent chafing.

Radial force variation ( RFV ) is a condition where excessive run out will create the same symptom as an unbalanced tire. Tire balancing should be checked and corrected as needed but is not always the solution. Road Force balancing detects assembly run out measured under load simulating real world driving conditions and will provide a solution to match mount the tire and rim to minimize loaded run out.
