This data collection is applicable to all vehicle with engines with sales codes: ERG, ERC, EH3 and ERF. To assist with monitoring and quality improvement of the 3.6L engine, every time a vehicle comes for any of the first 3 oil changes, please use wiTECH to record the total engine idle time and the total engine runtime. 1. Prior to perform the oil change connect wiTECH diagnostic tool. 2. Navigate to the topology screen on the action item section. 3. Once the topology screen loads, disconnect wiTECH and continue with oil change.

Only use the reman 62TE specified in StarParts for each model year - Only use R8210327A$ for 2014 - 2018 VF. - Only use R8453637A$ for 2019 VF. - Only use R8599680AA for 2020/1VF. If the vehicle you are repairing has a crack in the flex plate or failed pump bushing inspect and confirm that both (2) dowel pins are present in the engine block, which align the transmission center line to the crank shaft centerline and visually inspect the dowel alignment holes in the transmission case. If the holes are damaged or elongated the transmission should be replaced to prevent further damage to the transmission/flexplate or pump bushing due to the inability to properly align the engine to the transmission during the repair. 3. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If pump bushing is scored or damaged and the dowel pin alignment holes are ok, replace the pump assembly as opposed to complete transmission. 4. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If vehicle is jerking/slipping with MIL code(s) P0740 or P2764, check TCC Solenoid operation. The engine to transmission dowel pins are critical to the longevity of several components. Verify the dowel pins are in the rear face of engine block before installing a replacement transmission. Mopar will add loose dowel pins with remanufactured 62TE. 3. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If vehicle is jerking/slipping with MIL code(s) P0740 or P2764, check TCC Solenoid operation. If TCC Solenoid is ok, the codes are indicative of a torque converter failure. Replace the torque converter. 4. There may be incorrect fluid measurement on the dipstick tool when checking 62TE fluid level after filling the ATF as per service library specification. with leak concern: 1) Ensure the Oil Filter Adapter (OFA) Cap O-ring is seated in the proper groove in the cap and not damaged or cut. 2) If replacing the (OFA) due to a leak detected between (OFA) and block. Ensure the torque on the 5 bolts are torqued to 12nm. If not record the actual values, torque to 12nm and contact the FCA employees listed below. 3) Remove the (OFA) and replace the O-ring and gaskets only (Kit #68191356A$), NOT THE OFA. 4) If oil was drained, add oil dye to ensure the leak is repaired. For model year 2014 vehicles replace the Oil Filter Adaptor. 5) When replacing PN's 68310865A$ & 68308741A$, it may be necessary to transfer the Oil Temp/Pressure Sensor from the old OFA to the new OFA.

All 62TE equipped vehicles. If vehicle is jerking/slipping with MIL code(s) P0740 or P2764, check TCC Solenoid operation. If the condition is replicated, then check: 1) for kinked or pinched Clean Air Hose between the ESIM and the EVAP Air Filter; 2) for plugged EVAP Air Filter; 3) for kinked or pinched Vapor Hose between the Fuel Tank and the Vapor Canister. If the EVAP Filter is restricted, the replace the Filter. -Check if the Vapor Canister is flooded with fuel or the Recirculation Line has fuel. If fuel is found in the Vapor Canister or the Recirculation Line, then drop the Fuel Tank, remove the FDM Lock Ring to check if the internal Vapor Line is properly connected to the FDM Port. If the Vapor Line is not connected, then drain the fuel from the internal Vapor Line and properly connect to the FDM. Replace the Vapor Canister and the ESIM."
