When replacing a thermostat confirm the correct replacement is choosen.~ 2010, 2011, and 2012 RAM Trucks 2500/3500/4500/5500 engine coolant operating temperature has been increased to 200 degrees requiring thermostat 68067109AA.~ 2009, 2013, and 2014 RAM Trucks 2500/3500/4500/5500 engine coolant operating temperature is 190 degrees requiring thermostat 68005464AA.~ These thermostats are not interchangeable and doing so will result in reduced engine performance.

B1291-25, B1292-25, B1293-25, B1295-25, B1296-25, B1297-25, and/or B1298-25, check for snow/mud/ice/obstruction and clean the Sensors, both front and back (behind bumper) of sensor. The snow/mud/ice can be behind the bumper, sensor retainer and/or the sensor which may cause customers to think they have an issue since they cleaned the front of the sensor/bumper, but not behind where dirt/mud/ice snow can accumulate. Once the Bumper and Sensors are completely cleaned and clear of snow, mud, ice, and/or obstruction, the sensors must activate in order for the faults to go STORED. After cleaning the Bumper and Sensors, turn off the engine, wait 10 seconds, turn on the engine and then place the vehicle in REVERSE so that the sensors activate. The faults will go STORED. 2) Active or Stored DTC code of Short to Ground fault: B128E-11, B128F-11, B1290-11, B1291-11, B1292-11, B1293-11, B1294-11, B1295-11, B1296-11, and/or B1298-11, or if you have an active or stored DTC code of Performance or Incorrect Operation fault: B128E-92, B128F-92, B1290-92, B1291-92, B1293-92, B1294-92, B1295-92, B1296-92, B1297-92, and/or B1298-92, then check the wiring behind the sensor. Specifically, ensure that the connector behind the park assist sensor is fully mounted. Ensure also, there is no dirt, corrosion, or damage in this connector behind the park assist sensor as this will also cause a Short to Ground fault. With potential wiring issues addressed, the sensors must activate in order for the faults to go STORED. After all sensors are properly connected (you will likely hear a click once the connector is fully seated on the sensor), turn off the engine, wait 10 seconds, turn on the engine and then place the vehicle in REVERSE so that the sensors activate. The faults will go STORED.

noise typically after an overnight cold soak. Some engines during this build period may have been built with incorrect piston wrist pins. The wrist pins will cause an audible knocking noise upon start up. The knocking noise will typically reduce after approximately 30 minutes of idle time. Engine replacement will be required. Some customers may comment they hear an audible knocking noise coming form the engine after start up for approximately 30 minutes. This only occurs after cold start when the vehicle has been sitting over night.

B1291-25, B1292-25, B1293-25, B1295-25, B1296-25, B1297-25, and/or B1298-25, check for snow/mud/ice/obstruction and clean the Sensors, both front and back (behind bumper) of sensor. The snow/mud/ice can be behind the bumper, sensor retainer and/or the sensor which may cause customers to think they have an issue since they cleaned the front of the sensor/bumper, but not behind where dirt/mud/ice snow can accumulate. Once the Bumper and Sensors are completely cleaned and clear of snow, mud, ice, and/or obstruction, the sensors must activate in order for the faults to go STORED. After cleaning the Bumper and Sensors, turn off the engine, wait 10 seconds, turn on the engine and then place the vehicle in REVERSE so that the sensors activate. The faults will go STORED. 2) Active or Stored DTC code of Short to Ground fault: B128E-11, B128F-11, B1290-11, B1291-11, B1292-11, B1293-11, B1294-11, B1295-11, B1296-11, and/or B1298-11, or if you have an active or stored DTC code of Performance or Incorrect Operation fault: B128E-92, B128F-92, B1290-92, B1291-92, B1293-92, B1294-92, B1295-92, B1296-92, B1297-92, and/or B1298-92, then check the wiring behind the sensor. Specifically, ensure that the connector behind the park assist sensor is fully mounted. Ensure also, there is no dirt, corrosion, or damage in this connector behind the park assist sensor as this will also cause a Short to Ground fault. With potential wiring issues addressed, the sensors must activate in order for the faults to go STORED. After all sensors are properly connected (you will likely hear a click once the connector is fully seated on the sensor), turn off the engine, wait 10 seconds, turn on the engine and then place the vehicle in REVERSE so that the sensors activate. The faults will go STORED.

When replacing a thermostat confirm the correct replacement is choosen.~ 2010, 2011, and 2012 RAM Trucks 2500/3500/4500/5500 engine coolant operating temperature has been increased to 200 degrees requiring thermostat 68067109AA.~ 2009, 2013, and 2014 RAM Trucks 2500/3500/4500/5500 engine coolant operating temperature is 190 degrees requiring thermostat 68005464AA.~ These thermostats are not interchangeable and doing so will result in reduced engine performance.

Units exposed to hydrocarbons have a particular failure mode, the rubber heater unit is crinkled and in some cases the metal heater protrudes through the rubber membrane. The rubber material used in this unit is designed to withstand Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) only. Exposure to fluids that contain hydrocarbons (i.e. diesel fuel) will damage the unit beyond repair. Units returned that exhibit this failure mode will have warranty claims that are rejected. Units that exhibit this failure mode should be considered customer abuse and should not be covered under warranty. Blockage can occur from mud, ice, snow, front end damage, bracket damage, the sensor not attached to the bracket properly or an aftermarket fascia installed. This fault can occur intermittently in muddy or icy/snowy conditions and is considered normal operation. A customer may experience the radio display screen is locked on the Ram logo. This software update is to prevent this condition from occurring. Vehicles equipped with satellite radio (sales code RSD) may have a condition were the radio may reset a few times during a drive cycle. This condition is very intermittent.

The customer may indicate that there is no audio and/or radio is muted. This condition may be caused by the amplifier not communicating on the bus. On further inspection U0186-00 Lost communication with the audio amplifier may be found.
