the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) system for excessive water and/or ice and drying the CAC components if needed. It also involves installing a winter front cover. A small number of customers may experience a MIL illumination when ambient temperatures fall below 32F (0 C). Upon further inspection, a technician may find the ? P0299 - Turbocharger Underboost Condition ? U1424 - Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received In addition, a customer vehicle may come in with a no crank/no start. This may have occurred after the vehicle has been driven for an extended period of time in extremely low ambient and then allowed to sit overnight. Further diagnosis may indicate a possible inoperative starter. A possible cause of these concerns may be contributed to internal icing of the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) system and intake manifold. Icing will occur because warm, moist air from the turbo charger is being rapidly cooled and the moisture is then condensed into liquid by the CAC. The liquid is then distributed into the rest of the intake system, which is operating at ambient temperature, where it will then freeze. Vehicles that are driven for extended periods of time are susceptible to higher amounts of ice build up within the intake manifold. Once the vehicle is turned off and allowed to sit, the ice formation in the intake will begin to melt due to the elevated underhood temperatures. The moisture will then run down the intake runners and accumulate in the combustion chamber through an open intake valve causing the engine to hydro-lock. To help prevent icing in the CAC system when the vehicle is operated in low ambient temperatures, it is highly recommended that the vehicle have winter front cover installed. This raises the CAC outlet temperatures above freezing which will help reduce condensation build up.

All Promaster (VF) 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the transmission bracket to the transmission case fasteners are removed during servicing, the fasteners (Part Number 06511385A$) are one-time usage. Vehicles built prior to 10/23/2015 requires Service Kit PN 68461214AA; includes Transmission Isolator PN 68264483AA, and Adaptation Bracket 68264479AA and Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA Vehicles built after on or after 10/23/2015 will require only the Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA. 2. All 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the vehicle you are repairing has a crack in the flex plate or failed pump bushing inspect and confirm that both (2) dowel pins are present in the engine block, which align the transmission center line to the crank shaft centerline and visually inspect the dowel alignment holes in the transmission case. If the holes are damaged or elongated the transmission should be replaced to prevent further damage to the transmission/flexplate or pump bushing due to the inability to properly align the engine to the transmission during the repair. 3. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If pump bushing is scored or damaged and the dowel pin alignment holes are ok, replace the pump assembly as opposed to complete transmission. 4. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If vehicle is jerking/slipping with MIL code(s) P0740 or P2764, check TCC Solenoid operation. If TCC Solenoid is ok, the codes are indicative of a torque converter failure. Replace the torque converter.

B1291-25, B1292-25, B1293-25, B1295-25, B1296-25, B1297-25, and/or B1298-25, check for snow/mud/ice/obstruction and clean the Sensors, both front and back (behind bumper) of sensor. The snow/mud/ice can be behind the bumper, sensor retainer and/or the sensor which may cause customers to think they have an issue since they cleaned the front of the sensor/bumper, but not behind where dirt/mud/ice snow can accumulate. Once the Bumper and Sensors are completely cleaned and clear of snow, mud, ice, and/or obstruction, the sensors must activate in order for the faults to go STORED. After cleaning the Bumper and Sensors, turn off the engine, wait 10 seconds, turn on the engine and then place the vehicle in REVERSE so that the sensors activate. The faults will go STORED. 2) Active or Stored DTC code of Short to Ground fault: B128E-11, B128F-11, B1290-11, B1291-11, B1292-11, B1293-11, B1294-11, B1295-11, B1296-11, and/or B1298-11, or if you have an active or stored DTC code of Performance or Incorrect Operation fault: B128E-92, B128F-92, B1290-92, B1291-92, B1293-92, B1294-92, B1295-92, B1296-92, B1297-92, and/or B1298-92, then check the wiring behind the sensor. Specifically, ensure that the connector behind the park assist sensor is fully mounted. Ensure also, there is no dirt, corrosion, or damage in this connector behind the park assist sensor as this will also cause a Short to Ground fault. With potential wiring issues addressed, the sensors must activate in order for the faults to go STORED. After all sensors are properly connected (you will likely hear a click once the connector is fully seated on the sensor), turn off the engine, wait 10 seconds, turn on the engine and then place the vehicle in REVERSE so that the sensors activate. The faults will go STORED.

If he cannot be reached with 15 minutes proceed with your repair.~ The DS Limited Slip Differential operates as a torque sensing device because when torque is applied to the differential gear set the reaction forces of the bevel gears apply an axial force into the clutch system providing the torque bias. When the input torque is very low the reaction forces will decrease allowing the differential to ACT SIMILIAR TO A OPEN DIFFERENTIAL (zero preload). the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) system for excessive water and/or ice and drying the CAC components if needed. It also involves installing a winter front cover. A small number of customers may experience a MIL illumination when ambient temperatures fall below 32F (0 C). Upon further inspection, a technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). ? P0299 - Turbocharger Underboost Condition ? U1424 - Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received In addition, customer vehicle may come in with a no crank/no start. This may have occurred after the vehicle has been driven for an extended period of time in extremely low ambient and then allowed to sit overnight. Further diagnosis may indicate a possible inoperative starter. DISCUSSION: A possible cause of these concerns may be contributed to internal icing of the Charge Air Cooler (CAC) system and intake manifold. To prevent icing in the CAC system when vehicle is operated in low ambient temperatures, it is highly recommended that the vehicle have winter front cover installed. This raises the CAC outlet temperatures above freezing which will help reduce condensation build up.

When the input torque is very low the reaction forces will decrease allowing the differential to ACT SIMILIAR TO A OPEN DIFFERENTIAL (zero preload).

The fluid in the 8 speeds can be detected with a black light and there are aftermarket spray on leak detection materials to help ensure that the leak is properly diagnosed and not from another location such as cooler lines, heater tubes, or case porosity. Please note that the transmission pan gasket is available for many of the 8 speed applications FCA offers. Please review the available quick connect and transfer tube parts, as replacement of the TMU may not be required. have a leak that appears to be at the pan the use of proper leak detection is recommended. If a TOC line connection is found to be the source, the quick connect may need replacement. If the leak source is coming from the connection of the TMU to the transmission, the transfer tube may need replacement. When parts are returned to the QEC the retaining clips (snap ring) for the quick disconnect fittings are missing. (This leaves a question as to whether the clips were missing from the assembly plant, or the technician removed them in order to make line removal easier.) Please return the clips with the transmission heater and note if they were not there to begin with. For any questions regarding transmission heater, contact FCA Redacted Content. If no response in 15 minutes, proceed with repair.

Move the mirror to its full forward position and then to full retract position using the power fold mirror button located on drivers side door panel. Perform this procedure three times. If this doesn't resolve the issue, then repair as necessary.~ Note: 1- The looseness of power fold mirror does not necessary indicate a defective mirror, it may be caused by folding it manually rather than using the power fold feature. If the mirror is adjusted manually out of the proper detent, always use the button to adjust it back into sync.~ 2- The intended use of the power fold mirrors is by pushing the button to fold and unfold the mirror. Only manually fold the mirrors when absolutely necessary.~ 3- In the circumstance where the left hand mirror and right hand mirror are in different positions, it may take up to three cycles (bottom pushes) to re-sync the mirrors together.
