variable transmissions (CVTs), and to address customer concerns including those expressed by customers in the class actions, Nissan will extend the warranty coverage on the CVT. The warranty extension includes the CVT assembly and internal CVT components, gaskets, and seals, CVT control valve body, torque converter, cooler kit (if applicable) and reprogramming of the Transmission Control Module (TCM), on the vehicles listed in this announcement from its original duration of 60 months/60,000 miles to 84 months/84,000 miles (whichever occurs first). The extension also includes rental while CVT repairs or replacements are completed. Coverage of other vehicle components remains unchanged, and all other terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of Nissans New Vehicle Limited Warranty continue to apply. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. If an owner contacts a dealer with a CVT concern in an owned or leased vehicle, verify warranty coverage for the specific VIN and then inform the customer of any diagnostic charges. NOTE: Some owners may have opted out of the warranty extension as part of the class action settlements, thus it is important to check the VIN for each vehicle to verify coverage. 2. Use the appropriate Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) and/or Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to diagnose the root cause of the customer concern and identify the correct repair to resolve the customer concerns. NOTE: Dealers will need to follow the warranty process and obtain pre-approval from the Powertrain Call Center (800-973-9992, option 2) for any vehicles requiring CVT replacements when the replacement cost exceeds a Dealers Claims Administration/Authorization Limits (DCAL). Control valves and CVT belt and pulley kits do not require pre-authorization for repairs made under warranty.

and ASIST to determine the appropriate repair for a customers concern. Nissan recommends CVT assembly replacement be offered whenever diagnostics have led a dealer to determine a belt and pulley sub assembly repair will resolve a customers concern and the vehicle time in service or mileage is equal to or greater than 84 months in service or 84,000 miles. This recommendation provides longer-term durability for customer satisfaction. Customers required to pay out-of-pocket for these repairs may still choose belt and pulley sub assembly repair in lieu of CVT unit replacement if they prefer that option. Note: This recommendation only applies to belt and pulley sub assembly repairs. Do not recommend CVT unit replacement when the diagnosis is for software updates or control valves.
Dear Nissan Sentra Owner: Thank you for being a Nissan owner.

Campaign Summary***** Nissan is conducting a Regional Voluntary Service Campaign to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) on affected vehicles currently registered in Nevada and Arizona. The current programming may cause the air/fuel ratio to become excessively rich resulting in engine stop under certain high temperature and high altitude conditions. In addition, Nissan is asking dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve on certain 2013-14 Nissan Sentra vehicles. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History - Open Campaign I.D. Due to the various models involved and the associated responsible manufacturing location of origin, there are three (3) separate campaign IDs with unique Campaign Bulletins for each model: - PC633 - PM827 - P8325 New vehicles in dealer inventory can be also be identified using DCS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information NOTE: These campaigns are state-specific and limited to vehicles that are currently registered, or previously registered, in the state of Nevada or Arizona only. 2. Nissan requests dealers repair any affected vehicles in retailer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use the appropriate repair bulletin for the applicable model as listed below to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealer should submit a warranty claim and release the vehicle.

As you are likely aware, Nissan has initiated multiple field actions to execute the Takata Airbag Recall in accordance with the schedule set by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). Nissan has employed a variety of methods to reach affected customers to increase repair completion. However, your help is needed to raise awareness to remedy the approximately seven hundred thousand vehicles that remain unrepaired. This is a serious issue and we need everyone?s help to further increase recall awareness. Nissan is asking all dealers to provide their employees with instructions on how to identify vehicles affected by the Takata airbag recall and encourage them to help draw an affected owner?s attention to this danger. Your employee?s actions could save someone?s life or prevent a significant injury. Supporting Materials To assist with this request, each dealer will receive thirty ?Takata Airbag Recall Alert Cards? by December 5, 2018. Each ?Alert Card? has eight (8) individual tear off cards (written in English and Spanish) that can be distributed to owners to make them aware of how to check their vehicle for an open Takata recall, and of the importance of having the repair performed. To facilitate identification of affected vehicles, your employees can download the free Airbag Recall App from the App Store or Google Play. This app will work for any brand vehicle affected by the Takata recall, and will inform your employees if any of the affected vehicles listed below have an open Takata recall. Affected Vehicles: - NISSAN: - 2001-2003 Maxima - 2002-2004 Pathfinder - 2002-2006 Sentra - 2007-2011 Versa Sedan - 2007-2012 Versa Hatchback - INFINITI: - 2001 I30 - 2002-2004 I35 - 2002-2003 QX4 - 2003-2008 FX35/45 - 2006-2010 M35/45

SERVICE INFORMATION Occasionally customers may notice water vapor or fog in the headlamps.
Read full bulletin
The information, illustrations, and flow chart in this bulletin are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the headlamps is normal or not. Nissan?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. See this bulletin for further detail.

In an effort to protect the paint finish, Paint Guard Film (PGF) is applied on many new Nissan vehicles. Paint Guard Film is a temporary white plastic protective film that is applied by the factory to the horizontal painted surfaces of the vehicle. The PGF protects the paint finish during vehicle handling, transportation and storage from harmful elements such as acid rain, iron particles, bird droppings, tree sap and other environmental contaminants. NOTE - Paint Guard Film CANNOT remain on the vehicle for more than six months after the vehicle's manufacture date. PGF must be removed at the end of six months. See this bulletin for further detail.

participation in the Takata recalls and to help it achieve 100% customer recall participation for the following vehicles: - 2007-11 Versa Sedan - 2007-12 Versa Hatchback - 2002-06 Sentra - 2002-04 Pathfinder - 2001-03 Maxima Nissan expects to upload the next refreshed owner list to DBS by the middle of February. At the time of monthly updates, we reassign owner lists based on dealer buy/sells. We anticipate having this automated within DBS by the end of the fiscal year. This is an extremely serious safety issue and Nissan is taking significant and unprecedented steps to increase customer recall participation but it needs dealer help to achieve its remedy goals. A separate communication will be released later this week informing regional personnel of the requirements for bonus payout in Q4. The Q4 objective is based on the average number of repairs in Q3 multiplied by the number of service days in Q4 (Mon-Sat minus any holidays). Dealer engagement is critical with this effort. It is a company-wide responsibility to make it a priority to replace these dangerous airbag inflators in affected vehicles. Further, increasing recall participation represents significant gross profit opportunity for our dealers. Regional personnel can access current completions via the tableau Takata tracker (https://tableau.na.nissan.biz/#/site/SLSMKG/views/TakataCampaignReport/TakataCampaign?:iid=3 ). Q4 objectives will be updated by the end of the week in the tableau Takata tracker, but current overall completion rates are included above.
