This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PD127 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealers responsibility to check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary emissions recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealers inventory. Announcement***** Nissan is committed to providing the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction. Therefore, Nissan is extending the emission warranty coverage on MY16 Titan XD Titan Turbo Actuator and High-Pressure Turbocharger to 10 Years or 150,000 miles, whichever occurs first. All other warranty terms, limitations, and conditions remain unchanged. Certain MY16 TITAN XD Diesel vehicles may experience issues with the Turbo Actuator or the High-Pressure Turbocharger. Over time, a solder crack may develop in the Turbo Actuator and/or carbon build-up is possible on the High-Pressure Turbocharger Compressor. The most likely conditions are a MIL-On with DTC P00AF and/or DTC P0299. These issues have no effect on vehicle safety, drivability, or fuel economy. There could be a decrease in performance if either condition were to occur. During the limited emission warranty extension period, owners are eligible for free replacement of the Turbo Actuator and High-Pressure Turbocharger if either is determined to be required by a Nissan trained technician. Owners of eligible vehicles will receive notification of this limited emission warranty extension during November 2022. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are eligible for this Warranty Extension using the warranty extension page of Service Comm. 2. If a customer contacts the dealer with a Turbo Actuator or High-Pressure Turbocharger concern in an owned or leased vehicle, dealers should use the appropriate Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) to diagnose the root cause of the customer concern and identify the correct repair to resolve the customer concerns.

ambient temperature is around or below 0C (32F) the following recommendations must be followed. NOTE: These recommendations are also found in the vehicle Owners Manual.  Always use the correct engine oil for the prevailing conditions Use of an engine block heater (if so equipped) when the ambient temperature is around -17.77C (0F) or lower. Engine block heaters are used to assist with cold temperature starting. Some heaters will operate continuously when plugged into the correct voltage electrical socket. Operate them only when the ambient temperature is below - 17.77C (0F).  Always use the correct type of diesel fuel. When two types of diesel fuel are available, use winter fuel when the ambient temperature is around or below 0C (32F).  Importance of maintaining battery state-of-charge. If the battery is not fully charged during extremely cold weather conditions, the battery fluid may freeze and damage the battery. To maintain maximum efficiency, the battery should be checked regularly. For additional information, refer to Battery in the Do-it-yourself section of the applicable vehicle Owners Manual. Care should be taken to avoid situations that can lead to potential battery discharge and potential no-start conditions such as: 1. Installation or extended use of electronic accessories that consume battery power when the engine is not running (Phone changers, GPS, DVD players, etc.).these cases, the battery may need to be charged to maintain battery health. 2. Infrequent operation of the vehicle or regularly driving only short distances in the vehicle. In these cases, the battery may need to be charged to maintain battery health.

SERVICE INFORMATION Occasionally customers may notice water vapor or fog in the headlamps.
Read full bulletin
The information, illustrations, and flow chart in this bulletin are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the headlamps is normal or not. Nissan?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. See this bulletin for further detail.

NNA typically does not find any type of cracks in the windshield due to stress after the dealership PDI. See this bulletin for further detail.

Tires & Wheels
5 bulletinsSERVICE INFORMATION Temporary tire Flat Spotting is common on New Dealer In-Stock vehicles that have not been occasionally moved.
Read full bulletin
Flat Spotting can occur after the vehicle has been parked (not moved) for a few days, or longer. In most cases it is temporary. In extreme cases it can be permanent. Vehicles should be moved every 30 days, in one direction only, enough to rotate the tires 90 (see Figure 1). Moving vehicles as shown will prevent tire Flat Spotting. See this bulletin for further detail.
