owners of approximately 183,498 2021-2022 Nissan Sentra vehicles with a supplemental Owners Manual addendum. The 2021-2022 Sentra Owners Manual is missing the caution note about tire size restriction when using tire chains. Customers will be asked to place the addendum, which includes the caution note, inside the Owners Manual that came with their vehicle. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. If a dealer receives a supplemental Owners Manual addendum for a vehicle they have retailed, currently have in their new vehicle or pre-owned inventory, or a Nissan Rental Car (NRC), the dealer should either forward the owners manual addendum to the current owner or add the addendum to the Owners Manual in the glove box of any affected vehicle they currently control. 2. Customers receiving this Owners Manual addendum have been advised to place it inside the Owners Manual that came with their vehicle. ***** Release Schedule ***** Owner Notification Nissan will begin mailing the Owners Manual addendum to owners of all potentially affected vehicles beginning February 2023 via U.S. Mail. ***** Dealers Responsibility ***** It is the dealers responsibility to check Service Comm or DBS National Service History - Open Campaigns using the appropriate Campaign I.D. for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary service campaign, which for any reason, enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in dealer inventory. If a VIN subject to this voluntary service campaign was part of a dealer trade, the letter associated with that VIN should be forwarded to the appropriate dealer for service completion.

recall campaign on certain specific model year 2020-2022 Sentra vehicles to replace both inner tie rods. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number R23B3 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealers responsibility to check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealers inventory. Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles, Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed.
