The benefits of this new style of system are: More efficient use of fluid The windshield washer fluid spray does not block the drivers vision when cleaning the windshield The windshield washer fluid sprays directly onto the windshield only. This prevents the washer fluid from being sprayed onto the vehicle behind you, or nearby pedestrians. If the customer indicates that the front windshield washer is not working, or has poor performance, use the SERVICE PROCEDURE in this bulletin to confirm correct operation. If the windshield washer pump is found to be functioning properly, educate the customer on the system benefits, as indicated above. Nissan is conducting this voluntary safety recall campaign on certain specific model year 2022-2023 Pathfinder and 2021-2023 Rogue vehicles to inspect, and if necessary, replace the Drivers Seat Rail. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification numbers PC966 and PC980 to this campaign. The applicable number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealers inventory. Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles, Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed.
