variable transmissions (CVTs), and to address customer concerns including those expressed by customers in the class actions, Nissan will extend the warranty coverage on the CVT. The warranty extension includes the CVT assembly and internal CVT components, gaskets, and seals, CVT control valve body, torque converter, cooler kit (if applicable) and reprogramming of the Transmission Control Module (TCM), on the vehicles listed in this announcement. The warranty is being extended from its original duration of 60 months/60,000 miles to 84 months/84,000 miles (whichever occurs first). Coverage of other vehicle components remains unchanged, and all other terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of Nissans New Vehicle Limited Warranty continue to apply. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. If an owner contacts a dealer with a CVT concern in an owned or leased vehicle, verify warranty coverage for the specific VIN and then inform the customer of any diagnostic charges. NOTE: Some owners may have opted out of the warranty extension by excluding themselves from the class action settlement, thus it is important to check the VIN for each vehicle to verify coverage. 2. Use the appropriate Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) and/or Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to diagnose the root cause of the customer concern and identify the correct repair to resolve the customer concerns. NOTE: Dealers will need to follow the warranty process and obtain pre-approval from the Powertrain Call Center (800-973-9992, option 2) for any vehicles requiring CVT replacements when the replacement cost exceeds a Dealers Claims Administration/Authorization Limits (DCAL). Control valves and CVT belt and pulley kits do not require pre-authorization for repairs made under warranty.

a class action lawsuit gave final approval to a proposed settlement under which the CVT warranty will be extended for the following vehicles: 2014-2018 Rogue 2015-2018 Pathfinder *Not including Rogue Hybrid or Pathfinder Hybrid vehicles The approved settlement and the warranty extension are expected to become effective by June 1, 2022. Additional communication will be distributed prior to the warranty extension going into effect. To be clear, for the time being there is no warranty extension, and you should proceed with CVT-related claims as outlined below in bullet point three (3) under What Dealers Should Do. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. No action is necessary at this time. Nissan will provide additional instructions prior to the effective date of the extended warranty, which is expected to be June 1, 2022. 2. If a customer contacts the dealer with a CVT concern in an owned or leased vehicle, dealers should use the appropriate Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) to diagnose the root cause of the customer concern and identify the correct repair to resolve the customer concerns. NOTE: Dealers will need to follow the warranty process and obtain pre-approval from the Powertrain Call Center (800-973-9992 Option 2) for any vehicles requiring CVT assemblies to be replaced. Valve bodies and CVT belt and pulley kits do not require pre-authorization. 3. If the vehicle is no longer covered by a powertrain or parts warranty, provide owners a repair estimate for test drive, diagnosis, and repair after consulting the goodwill guidelines available in the Assurance Product Resources Manual (APRM) or WBP/18-006.

These procedures are used when a complete CVT is replaced, or a CVT control valve (valve body) is replaced, or a Transmission Control Module (TCM) is replaced. See this bulletin for further detail.

And No other DTCs are stored other than what are listed in Table A. And The diagnostic procedures in the Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for each DTC in Table A, that is stored in the TCM, has been performed and indicates that the CVT assembly must be replaced. NOTE: Do not replace the CVT. ACTION Replace the CVT valve body assembly (control valve) with a unit from Parts Information. See page 2 for important information when replacing the CVT control valve.

This debris can contaminate the newly serviced transmission, control valve or torque converter. In severe cases this debris can block or restrict flow and may cause damage to the newly serviced CVT. SERVICE INFORMATION When a CVT, control valve or torque converter replacement is necessary for one of the applied vehicles, the CVT transmission fluid coolers (radiator based fluid cooler and external auxiliary cooler if present) must be flushed. Please see this bulletin for further details.

to perform Door Motor Starting Position Reset using CONSULT-III plus. - This function is found in HVAC > Work support. See this bulletin for further detail.

The auto headlights do not time out after the ignition is set to the OFF position. * The interior lights do not come ON. * Rogue only: The radio will not turn OFF after ignition is turned OFF. * The Vehicle Information Display in the combination meter showing "door ajar" when the doors are closed. * The Remote Engine Start feature is inoperative. ACTION: 1. Remove, and then reinstall, the screw of all four (4) door switches. 2. Confirm whichever issue has been occurring is resolved. NOTE: If the issue(s) is still not resolved, refer to ASIST and the appropriate Electronic Service Manual (ESM) for further diagnosis. Please see this bulletin for further details.

The ambient temperature is below freezing (below 32F / 0C). 2. The engine was started and the vehicle driven a short distance. 3. The vehicle was then parked (engine turned OFF), and then allowed to sit for at least 10 minutes. THEN, when restarting the engine: - The engine will crank but not start OR - The engine will start, but the engine will not respond to throttle pedal input. AND - One or more of the following Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) related DTCs are found stored in the ECM: -P2100 (ETC MOT PWR-B1) -P2101 (ETC FNCTN/CIRC-B1) -P1726 (ELEC TH CONTROL) ACTION Replace the Intelligent Power Distribution Module (IPDM) with the one listed in the PARTS INFORMATION section of this bulletin. - Refer to the Electronic Service Manual (ESM), section PCS-Power Control System, for IPDM removal and installation. ACTION 1. Confirm that the battery voltage is 11 volts, or more, with the ignition ON (engine OFF, not running). 2. Erase DTC 3. Perform DTC confirmation steps in the Service Procedure. 4. Confirm 1st trip DTC P0603 is not stored. NOTE: P0603 is often the result of low battery voltage, discharged battery or battery terminal disconnections. Please see this bulletin for furtner details.

This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PC633 (VINs starting with 5N or JN) and P8325 (VINs starting with KN) to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY Dealers are to repair vehicles falling within range of this campaign that enter the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties, vehicles presented by transient (tourists) owners, and vehicles in a dealer?s inventory.

Campaign Summary***** Nissan is conducting a Regional Voluntary Service Campaign to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) on affected vehicles currently registered in Nevada and Arizona. The current programming may cause the air/fuel ratio to become excessively rich resulting in engine stop under certain high temperature and high altitude conditions. In addition, Nissan is asking dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve on certain 2013-14 Nissan Sentra vehicles. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History - Open Campaign I.D. In an effort to protect the paint finish, Paint Guard Film (PGF) is applied on many new Nissan vehicles. Paint Guard Film is a temporary white plastic protective film that is applied by the factory to the horizontal painted surfaces of the vehicle. The PGF protects the paint finish during vehicle handling, transportation and storage from harmful elements such as acid rain, iron particles, bird droppings, tree sap and other environmental contaminants.
