with a smoke machine test coming from the fuel filler tube lower seal, AND DTC P0456 is stored as Active, Past, or Pending in the ECM. ACTION 1. Remove the supplied funnel from the rear of the vehicle or trunk. 2. Insert the funnel completely in the fuel filler tube and remove completely five (5) times. 3. Re-check the fuel filler tube lower seal with a smoke machine to determine visually if any leak is present. 4. If the fuel filler lower seal continues to leak, replace the fuel filler tube. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect Test with DCA and Replace results. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. Dealers will replace one bolt on both the right and left side rear door lower hinge on 4,965 specific 2022 Pathfinder vehicles identified in Service Comm and DBS National Service History. Due to a design specification concern, the installed rear door lower hinge bolt may have insufficient thread engagement on the weld nut at the B-Pillar. This may cause the hinge bolt to become loose or may be missing. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History Open Campaigns I.D. PC841. 2. Dealers are requested to remedy any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. Voluntary Service Campaign to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) seatbelt software logic on 11,656 specific MY2022 Pathfinder vehicles identified in Service Comm and DBS National Service History. The Idle Stop Start (ISS) fault message displays in the combination meter when the seat belt is not used by the driver for ten (10) consecutive ignition on/off cycles. The ECM reprogram is intended to eliminate the fault message from the driver information display. The ISS indicator lamp will remain illuminated. Normal ISS system operation will resume after the seatbelt is used. Affected vehicles are not subject to stop sale and are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. A blinking AEB warning light may occur under the following conditions: When contamination or foreign material adhere to the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When driving while it is snowing or when frost forms on the lane camera viewing window on the windshield. When the lane camera viewing window on the windshield is temporarily fogged up. Before replacing any components for DTCs C1142 (PRESS SEN CIRCUIT) and/or C1116 (STOP LAMP SW), stored as past or current, confirm that the Stop Lamp Switch and the Brake Pedal Position Switch are properly adjusted. If either the Stop Lamp Switch and/or the Brake Pedal Position Switch are found to be out of adjustment, adjust them as per the ESM, and then clear the DTCs and perform DTC confirmation. Nissan is conducting this voluntary safety recall campaign on certain specific model year 2022-2023 Pathfinder and 2021-2023 Rogue vehicles to inspect, and if necessary, replace the Drivers Seat Rail. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification numbers PC966 and PC980 to this campaign. The applicable number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealers responsibility to check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealers inventory. Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles, Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed.

The 2022 Pathfinder Owners Manual instructions for the 2nd row seat does not indicate that the one-touch seat release function may operate while driving the vehicle. Customers will be asked to place the supplement, which addresses the functionality of the one-touch seat release on the 2nd row seat while driving, inside the Owners Manual that came with their vehicle. *****What Dealers Should Do***** 1. Verify if new vehicles in their inventory are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History Open Campaigns I.D. PC968. New vehicles in dealer inventory can also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information SERVICE COMM will only be active for vehicles in dealer new vehicle inventory. 2. If a dealer receives a supplemental Owners Manual addendum for a vehicle they have retailed, currently have in their new vehicle or pre-owned inventory, or a Nissan Rental Car (NRC), the dealer should either forward the owners manual supplement to the current owner or add the supplement to the Owners Manual in the glove box of any affected vehicle they currently control. 3.
