procedural recommendations for establishing good connections while performing 12V battery testing. These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect Test with DCA and Replace results. HINT: If 12 volt batteries are allowed to discharge for a prolonged period of time, battery life may be drastically reduced. This condition may lead to premature battery replacement and customer dissatisfaction. IMPORTANT: CPX-900 is now an accepted testing tool to use along with or in place of the DSS-5000 CPX-900 operating instructions are found at: https://nissancpx900.midtronics.com/ DSS-5000 operating instructions are found at: https://nissandss5000.midtronics.com/ DCA-8000 is now a required testing tool to be used for all warranty replacement decisions. The DCA-8000 is also a more efficient charger than previously available, and will charge any available 12 volt lead acid battery safely and accurately as long as all precautions and inputs are made correctly. The DCA-8000 operating instructions are found at: https://nissandca8000.midtronics.com/

Our goal is to deliver vehicles to customers with a 12 volt battery in excellent condition. Proper dealership storage and maintenance of vehicle 12 volt batteries is essential to insuring good battery operating life and customer satisfaction. Dealers are responsible for maintaining vehicles in their inventory. 12 volt batteries in vehicle inventory should always be kept at a full charge to prevent excessive discharge during storage and so they are ready for delivery to customers at any time. See this bulletin for further detail.

safety, security and satisfaction of our customers and their passengers, as well as the safety of Nissan technicians. Nissan will be conducting a voluntary service campaign in North America on certain MY 2011-19 Nissan LEAF vehicles to replace the Lithium-ion Battery Bonding Plates. The plates may corrode and in areas where road salt is extensively used, could break. In rare cases during vehicle servicing in which both plates fail, the battery cover plate is removed and the vehicle is left in READY mode, a technician could be exposed to electric shock if all EV servicing safety instructions are not followed. Although no such incidents have been reported to Nissan, this voluntary service campaign is being conducted as a preventative measure out of an abundance of caution. The issue does not affect battery or vehicle performance. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History ? Open Campaigns I.D. P9312. - New vehicles in dealer inventory can be also be identified using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information 2. Dealers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use NTB19-055 to remedy any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

SERVICE INFORMATION Occasionally customers may notice water vapor or fog in the headlamps.
Read full bulletin
The information, illustrations, and flow chart in this bulletin are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the headlamps is normal or not. Nissan?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. See this bulletin for further detail.

NNA typically does not find any type of cracks in the windshield due to stress after the dealership PDI. See this bulletin for further detail.

In an effort to protect the paint finish, Paint Guard Film (PGF) is applied on many new Nissan vehicles. Paint Guard Film is a temporary white plastic protective film that is applied by the factory to the horizontal painted surfaces of the vehicle. The PGF protects the paint finish during vehicle handling, transportation and storage from harmful elements such as acid rain, iron particles, bird droppings, tree sap and other environmental contaminants. NOTE - Paint Guard Film CANNOT remain on the vehicle for more than six months after the vehicle's manufacture date. PGF must be removed at the end of six months. See this bulletin for further detail.

SERVICE INFORMATION The DC Fast Charger requires periodic air filter maintenance.
Read full bulletin
If the air filters are not serviced and become restricted, the DC Fast Charger will set DTC 0x051E Thermostat Error (Charger malfunction) and suspend operation until the restriction is cleared and the power to the DC Fast Charger is cycled. The air filters should all be inspected 30 days after the unit is first put into service, to determine the levels of individual restriction. - Any air filters found to be heavily restricted during the initial 30 day inspection should be serviced at a monthly or bi-monthly interval. - If none of the air filters are heavily restricted, they should be serviced and then rechecked at 90 day intervals (some air filters may require less maintenance than others). The Internal air filter may only need annual replacement unless the site is extremely dusty. It is the only air filter that requires the removal of the external charger casing. This should only be performed by a licensed electrician. See this bulletin for further detail.

Vehicles should be moved every 30 days, in one direction only, enough to rotate the tires 90 (see Figure 1). Moving vehicles as shown will prevent tire Flat Spotting. See this bulletin for further detail.

Satisfaction Initiative (CSI) that provided clients with an opportunity to update the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) in vehicles equipped with a TCU designed to connect to the 2G cellular network. AT&T stopped accepting enrollments on the 2G cellular network, and discontinued its 2G cellular network coverage on December 31, 2016. Once the 2G cellular network was discontinued, there was no access to the NissanConnect features without a TCU hardware upgrade. Because AT&T will shut down its 3G network on December 31, 2021, Nissan is discontinuing this Customer Satisfaction Initiative to upgrade from 2G to 3G compatible hardware effective immediately. 3G services will continue to be provided until December 31, 2021. Vehicles equipped with a TCU that connects to the 3G cellular network will have no access to the NissanConnect EV features, including Remote Charge Status Check, Remote Climate Control and Driving History after that time. What Dealers Should Do 1.Service Comm will deactivate PC449 and PC450 on any VINs on December 22, 2020. No further dealer action is required.
