Blank TCMs come without software and must be programmed (not reprogrammed) and then configured after they are installed. When ordering a replacement A/T or control valve, use the Nissan electronic parts information systems to obtain the correct software program part number See this bulletin for further detail.

ACTION 1. Confirm that the battery voltage is 11 volts, or more, with the ignition ON (engine OFF, not running). 2. Erase DTC 3. Perform DTC confirmation steps in the Service Procedure. 4. Confirm 1st trip DTC P0603 is not stored. NOTE: P0603 is often the result of low battery voltage, discharged battery or battery terminal disconnections. Please see this bulletin for furtner details.

ACTION: 1. Replace the EVAP canister (canister) and EVAP canister vent control valve (vent control valve). 2. Remove the canister filter. 3. Attach the EPT foam seal to fuel filler tube. 4. Replace the fuel filler pipe, canister drain hose, and fuel filler cap (on some model years) listed in PARTS INFORMATION. 5. Erase the DTC. See this bulletin for further detail.

The information, illustrations, and flow chart in this bulletin are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the headlamps is normal or not. Nissan?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. However, NNA is responsible for manufacturing issues such as distorted glass and cracks that are due to improper installation or damage to the glass during vehicle assembly. DO NOT use Chrome Wheel Cleaner on Painted Wheels. Many chrome wheel cleaners have acidic ingredients. Make sure to follow all instruction in the Appearance and Care Section of the Owner?s Manual. Damage to wheel appearance due to the use of inappropriate chemicals or cleaning products is not covered under warranty. See this bulletin for further detail.

In an effort to protect the paint finish, Paint Guard Film (PGF) is applied on many new Nissan vehicles. Paint Guard Film is a temporary white plastic protective film that is applied by the factory to the horizontal painted surfaces of the vehicle. The PGF protects the paint finish during vehicle handling, transportation and storage from harmful elements such as acid rain, iron particles, bird droppings, tree sap and other environmental contaminants. NOTE - Paint Guard Film CANNOT remain on the vehicle for more than six months after the vehicle's manufacture date. PGF must be removed at the end of six months. high-mounted stop lamp service part has changed from 5 mm to a 6 mm. If for any reason the high-mounted stop lamp needs to be replaced, the mounting hole will need to be enlarged to 6.5 mm ( inch) as follows: 1. Remove the high-mounted stop lamp. - For high-mounted stop lamp removal, refer to the Electronic Service Manual: Section DRIVER CONTROLS > EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > STOP LAMP. 2. Enlarge the high-mounted stop lamps mounting holes (see Figure 1 on page 2) using a 6.5 mm ( inch) drill bit. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the vehicle, apply light pressure to the drill while drilling. Excessive force may cause the drill bit to penetrate too far and damage the headliner. 3. Apply touch-up paint to the mounting holes to protect the bare metal. 4. Install the new high-mounted stop lamp using M6 mounting nuts. Refer to the PARTS INFORMATION on page 2.

These recommendations are expected to promote uniformity during the connection process, therefore reducing the number of incorrect Test with DCA and Replace results. The audio system then reboots (Nissan Logo appears), and then will restart the countdown. * The center display screen (navigation screen) intermittently goes blank (nothing is displayed) for a few seconds or longer and then returns to normal display. * Continuously reboots (Nissan Logo appears after a loss of soundor freeze condition). * XM channel selection is sometimes not working as normal or shows "XM loading" for long periods of time. * Audio sometimes is not working. * Soundlevels for balance, fader, treble,or bass do not correspond to what is displayed by the audio unit after the ignition is cycled. * Connected iPod freezes after using "Source" button or changing tracks. * Audio preset buttons do not respond when selected. * Calls unintentionally change from "hands free" to "handset". Our goal is to deliver vehicles to customers with a 12 volt battery in excellent condition. Proper dealership storage and maintenance of vehicle 12 volt batteries is essential to insuring good battery operating life and customer satisfaction. Dealers are responsible for maintaining vehicles in their inventory. 12 volt batteries in vehicle inventory should always be kept at a full charge to prevent excessive discharge during storage and so they are ready for delivery to customers at any time. ACTIONS 1. To significantly reduce unnecessary repairs, make sure: a. The vehicle is not in "Transit Mode" (if equipped). - Not in Transit Mode: With the turn signal switch is in the OFF (center) position, turn the ignition from OFF to ON. If the turn signal indicators stay OFF (do not illuminate), the vehicle is not in Transit Mode. b. The "Extended Storage Switch" (if equipped) is in the "Customer Delivery" position (pushed in). - The Extended Storage Switch is located on the fuse block that is located in the interior of the vehicle. 2. Confirm the customer is familiar with the HomeLink programming procedure located in the vehicle?s owner?s manual. 3. Test HomeLink operation with special tool HomeLink Transmitter Tester J-41540. - Specifically, Tire Pressure Monitor transmitters (TPMS sensors) can be damaged when improperly dismounting and mounting tires. - TPMS sensors becoming damaged during mounting or dismounting tires are not covered under warranty. - To avoid such damage, ensure that the tire changer being used and the operator of the tire changer is capable of servicing run flat and low profile tires. - Operator?s manuals for such tire changers must be followed. There is no instruction in the Owner?s Manual on auto-lock function deactivation. All doors unlock automatically when the ignition is placed in the OFF position (models with Intelligent Key system) or when the key is removed from the ignition switch (models without Intelligent Key system). The auto-unlock function can be deactivated by the driver in accordance with Owner?s Manual Instructions. Please see this bulletin for further details.

Something other than an Intelligent Key is inserted into the Key-Slot. 2. An Intelligent Key issue. 3. A wiring issue between the Key-Slot and the BCM. 4. A Key-Slot issue. Flat Spotting can occur after the vehicle has been parked (not moved) for a few days, or longer. In most cases it is temporary. In extreme cases it can be permanent. Vehicles should be moved every 30 days, in one direction only, enough to rotate the tires 90 (see Figure 1). Moving vehicles as shown will prevent tire Flat Spotting. latching pawls for a front seat (left or right) are not synchronized: - The inboard track latches, but the outboard track does not latch unless the seat is pushed/pulled into position. NOTE: The customer may report the following if this issue should occur: - The seat track seems loose when braking or accelerating. - The seat track is difficult to lock in place. - After adjusting the seat track, it shifts/locks into place while driving.
