Proper dealership storage and maintenance of vehicle 12 volt batteries is essential to insuring good battery operating life and customer satisfaction. The vehicle is not in "Transit Mode" (if equipped). - Not in Transit Mode: With the turn signal switch is in the OFF (center) position, turn the ignition from OFF to ON. There is no instruction in the Owner?s Manual on auto-lock function deactivation. All doors unlock automatically when the ignition is placed in the OFF position (models with Intelligent Key system) or when the key is removed from the ignition switch (models without Intelligent Key system). The auto-unlock function can be deactivated by the driver in accordance with Owner?s Manual Instructions. Please see this bulletin for further details.

Nissan?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. In an effort to protect the paint finish, Paint Guard Film (PGF) is applied on many new Nissan vehicles. Paint Guard Film is a temporary white plastic protective film that is applied by the factory to the horizontal painted surfaces of the vehicle. The PGF protects the paint finish during vehicle handling, transportation and storage from harmful elements such as acid rain, iron particles, bird droppings, tree sap and other environmental contaminants. NOTE - Paint Guard Film CANNOT remain on the vehicle for more than six months after the vehicle's manufacture date. PGF must be removed at the end of six months. If for any reason the high-mounted stop lamp needs to be replaced, the mounting hole will need to be enlarged to 6.5 mm ( inch) as follows: 1. Remove the high-mounted stop lamp. - For high-mounted stop lamp removal, refer to the Electronic Service Manual: Section DRIVER CONTROLS > EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM > REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > STOP LAMP. 2. Enlarge the high-mounted stop lamps mounting holes (see Figure 1 on page 2) using a 6.5 mm ( inch) drill bit. NOTICE: To avoid damage to the vehicle, apply light pressure to the drill while drilling. Excessive force may cause the drill bit to penetrate too far and damage the headliner. 3. Apply touch-up paint to the mounting holes to protect the bare metal. 4. Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Service Campaign to reprogram the Air Bag Control Unit (ACU) in 2004-2014 Titan, 2005-2014 Frontier, and 2005-2014 Xterra vehicles. The current ACU rollover-sensing calibration logic could allow for unintended curtain air bag deployment in rare instances occurring under certain unique driving scenarios, usually involving unpaved roads or off-road where one side of the vehicle is higher than the other. The ACU reprogramming will improve rollover-sensing calibration to address certain unique driving scenarios, and help prevent unintended curtain air bag deployment, while maintaining the design intent for deployment in rollover crashes. Owners of affected vehicles will be notified beginning in June 2017 and asked to bring their vehicle to an authorized Nissan dealer to have the remedy work completed at no cost to the owner.

latching pawls for a front seat (left or right) are not synchronized: - The inboard track latches, but the outboard track does not latch unless the seat is pushed/pulled into position. NOTE: The customer may report the following if this issue should occur: - The seat track seems loose when braking or accelerating. - The seat track is difficult to lock in place. - After adjusting the seat track, it shifts/locks into place while driving. ACTION Adjust/synchronize the outboard seat track per the Service Procedure is this bulletin.
