The front sonar parking sensor may activate if the front license plate is bent outward from its bracket (there is a gap between the license plate and the bracket) OR the front license plate frame is bent or loose and is hanging outward, away from the license plate and/or bracket (there is a gap between the license plate frame and the license plate and/or bracket) OR the bracket is loose and is hanging outward, away from the bumper (there is a gap between the bracket and the bumper). If any of these conditions are found, correct it by removing the gap (straighten the license plate, straighten and/or secure the license plate frame, or secure the bracket, as it applies). - Retest the operation of the front sonar parking sensor. In an effort to protect the paint finish, Paint Guard Film (PGF) is applied on many new Nissan vehicles. Paint Guard Film is a temporary white plastic protective film that is applied by the factory to the horizontal painted surfaces of the vehicle. The PGF protects the paint finish during vehicle handling, transportation and storage from harmful elements such as acid rain, iron particles, bird droppings, tree sap and other environmental contaminants. NOTE - Paint Guard Film CANNOT remain on the vehicle for more than six months after the vehicle's manufacture date. PGF must be removed at the end of six months. See this bulletin for further detail.

INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting this voluntary safety recall campaign on certain specific model year 2004-2012 Armada, 2004-2012 Titan, and 2004-2009 Quest vehicles, to inspect and if necessary, replace the driver Air Bag Cover. This service will be performed at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification numbers PC944, PC946, PC947 and PC949 to this campaign. The vehicle specific number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealers responsibility to check Service COMM or Dealer Business Systems (DBS) National Service History for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealers inventory. Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
