variable transmissions (CVTs), and to address customer concerns including those expressed by customers in the class actions, Nissan will extend the warranty coverage on the CVT. The warranty extension includes the CVT assembly and internal CVT components, gaskets, and seals, CVT control valve body, torque converter, cooler kit (if applicable) and reprogramming of the Transmission Control Module (TCM), on the vehicles listed in this announcement from its original duration of 60 months/60,000 miles to 84 months/84,000 miles (whichever occurs first). The extension also includes rental while CVT repairs or replacements are completed. Coverage of other vehicle components remains unchanged, and all other terms, conditions, limitations and exclusions of Nissans New Vehicle Limited Warranty continue to apply. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. If an owner contacts a dealer with a CVT concern in an owned or leased vehicle, verify warranty coverage for the specific VIN and then inform the customer of any diagnostic charges. NOTE: Some owners may have opted out of the warranty extension as part of the class action settlements, thus it is important to check the VIN for each vehicle to verify coverage. 2. Use the appropriate Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) and/or Electronic Service Manual (ESM) to diagnose the root cause of the customer concern and identify the correct repair to resolve the customer concerns. NOTE: Dealers will need to follow the warranty process and obtain pre-approval from the Powertrain Call Center (800-973-9992, option 2) for any vehicles requiring CVT replacements when the replacement cost exceeds a Dealers Claims Administration/Authorization Limits (DCAL). Control valves and CVT belt and pulley kits do not require pre-authorization for repairs made under warranty.

and ASIST to determine the appropriate repair for a customers concern. Nissan recommends CVT assembly replacement be offered whenever diagnostics have led a dealer to determine a belt and pulley sub assembly repair will resolve a customers concern and the vehicle time in service or mileage is equal to or greater than 84 months in service or 84,000 miles. This recommendation provides longer-term durability for customer satisfaction. Customers required to pay out-of-pocket for these repairs may still choose belt and pulley sub assembly repair in lieu of CVT unit replacement if they prefer that option. Note: This recommendation only applies to belt and pulley sub assembly repairs. Do not recommend CVT unit replacement when the diagnosis is for software updates or control valves.

Engine Control Module (ECM) Reprogram California Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary***** ...

Read full bulletin

Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on approximately 104,221 specific Nissan vehicles identified in Service Comm and currently registered to owners in the state of California to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) in the event that a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) for P0448, P0101, P2008, or P0087 is recorded in the ECM. Due to calibration errors on the affected vehicles, the ECM may improperly store a permanent diagnostic trouble code (P-DTC) even though the emissions on-board diagnostic system is functioning properly. As of July 1, 2019 the State of California has implemented a revised Inspection Maintenance (I/M) or Smog Check test program. Without the software update, the subject vehicles may not pass this Smog Check test in those areas of California where such testing is required under state law. This incident has no effect on the safety, performance, drivability, or fuel consumption of the applicable vehicles. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History Open Campaigns I.D. P9328 Affected Model Year 2015 P9343 Affected Model Year 2016 P9345 Affected Model Year 2017 P9347 Affected Model Year 2018 P9349 Affected Model Year 2019 2. used for the Applied Vehicles listed. A single thunk noise may be heard during the first few accelerations of the day from this type of mount, and is considered normal operation. The mount has also been designed with built-in free play that is normal. Under normal driving conditions: - A thunk noise may be heard during the first few accelerations of the day, And - Does not occur again, or at any other time. DO NOT REPLACE THE MOUNT: - If it has free play or a ?single event? thunk sound during the first few accelerations of the day. This is considered a normal characteristic of this type of engine mount. - Allowable free play (vertical movement) is 5 mm. - If a shift shock condition is present when shifting from Park into gear or between any combination of gears. Read full bulletin

Campaign Summary***** Nissan is conducting a Regional Voluntary Service Campaign to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM) on affected vehicles currently registered in Nevada and Arizona. The current programming may cause the air/fuel ratio to become excessively rich resulting in engine stop under certain high temperature and high altitude conditions. In addition, Nissan is asking dealers to inspect and, if necessary, replace the Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve on certain 2013-14 Nissan Sentra vehicles. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History - Open Campaign I.D. Due to the various models involved and the associated responsible manufacturing location of origin, there are three (3) separate campaign IDs with unique Campaign Bulletins for each model: - PC633 - PM827 - P8325 New vehicles in dealer inventory can be also be identified using DCS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). - Refer to NPSB 15-460 for additional information NOTE: These campaigns are state-specific and limited to vehicles that are currently registered, or previously registered, in the state of Nevada or Arizona only. 2. Nissan requests dealers repair any affected vehicles in retailer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use the appropriate repair bulletin for the applicable model as listed below to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealer should submit a warranty claim and release the vehicle.

ECM Reprogram Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign This bulletin applies only to vehciles equipped with 4 cylinder engine.

Read full bulletin

***** Campaign Summary***** Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on approximately 311,675 specific 2016-2017 model year Nissan Altima vehicles equipped with a 2.5L engine. Nissan has discovered that some model year 2016 and 2017 Altima vehicles are equipped with an improperly calibrated Engine Control Module (ECM) that may illuminate a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) for abnormal Air/Fuel (A/F) sensor output. The cause is a grille shutter calibration issue which may lead to higher than expected A/F sensor temperature, resulting in the MIL for delayed sensor response rate. To correct this condition, Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign to reprogram the Engine Control Module (grille shutter opening logic) free of charge. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm I.D. PC514. 2. Dealers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use NTB16-514 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

vehicles equipped with 4-cylinder engines. INTRODUCTION Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Service Campaign on certain specific model year 2016 - 2017 Altima vehicles to reprogram the Engine Control Module (ECM). The reprogram will affect the operation of the grille shutters and will reduce under hood temperatures which, if not reprogrammed, could lead to a false Malfunction Indicator Lamp in some circumstances. The ECM will be reprogrammed at no charge to customers for parts or labor. IDENTIFICATION NUMBER Nissan has assigned identification number PC514 to this campaign. This number must appear on all communication and documentation of any nature dealing with this campaign. DEALER RESPONSIBILITY It is the dealer?' responsibility to check Service Comm for the campaign status on each vehicle falling within the range of this voluntary safety recall which for any reason enters the service department. This includes vehicles purchased from private parties or presented by transient (tourist) owners and vehicles in a dealer?s inventory. Federal law requires that new vehicles in dealer inventory which are the subject of a safety recall must be corrected prior to sale. Failure to do so can result in civil penalties by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. While federal law applies only to new vehicles, Nissan strongly encourages dealers to correct any used vehicles in their inventory before they are retailed.

campaign on approximately 1,657,666 specific MY2013-16 Altima (L33) and MY2014-16 Rogue (T32) vehicles to reprogram the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) software. Under specific driving conditions, hydraulic pressure may decrease and result in belt slip within the CVT. This may result in MIL illumination (P0776) and poor acceleration in some vehicles. There is no safety concern due to built-in fail-safe logic. Nissan is proactively reprogramming the CVT to prevent durability concerns and high out of warranty repair costs for owners. ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm I.D. PC490. 2. Dealers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in dealer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure customer satisfaction. 3. Dealers should use NTB16-121 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

satisfaction, Nissan is providing a limited warranty extension to certain MY2013-2016 Nissan Altima 2.5L (SULEV and 50 states emissions) and certain MY2013-2016 Nissan Sentra vehicles (50 states only) to allow for annual rear oxygen sensor voltage checks, upon request, to determine if a rear oxygen sensor short-to-ground condition exists. If a rear oxygen sensor short-to ground condition exists, Nissan will inspect and repair or replace, as necessary, the sensor or wiring and remedy any diagnostic trouble codes that may have been masked by a failure to detect a possible rear oxygen (O2) sensor short to ground (SCG) condition. If those DTCs are first found only after a short-to-ground repair, the Limited Emission Warranty extension will cover the costs of parts and labor to inspect and repair the corresponding issue(s). Affected vehicles may fail to detect the rear oxygen (O2) sensor short circuit to ground (SCG). Undetected SCG may result in failure to pass emissions testing. Owners of eligible vehicles will receive a notification indicating their eligibility for the following: Annual rear oxygen sensory voltage check during the extended warranty coverage Limited warranty extension for the rear oxygen sensor to 20 years/200,000 miles (whichever occurs first) What Dealers Should Do: 1.Verify if vehicles are eligible for this limited Warranty Extension using the warranty extension page of Service Comm. 2.Dealers should perform a voltage check and, if necessary, remedy any eligible vehicles subject to this warranty extension to ensure customer satisfaction using NTB22-007. 3.The service department should submit the applicable warranty claim for the action(s) performed.

providing the highest levels of product quality and customer satisfaction. Therefore, Nissan is extending the emission warranty on the Rear Oxygen Sensor in the case of a short-to-ground condition to 20 Years or 200,000 miles, whichever occurs first. All other warranty terms, limitations, and conditions remain unchanged. During the warranty extension period, customers are eligible for annual Rear Oxygen Sensor voltage checks, upon request, to determine if a Rear Oxygen Sensor short-toground condition exists. If a Rear Oxygen Sensor short-to-ground condition does exist, Nissan will inspect and repair or replace, as necessary, the sensor or wiring and inspect for the existence of specific Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) for issues that may have been previously unidentified due to the short-to-ground condition. Only if one of the DTCs in Table A are first found after a short-to-ground repair, the corresponding issue(s) will also be corrected according to the service manual at no charge for parts and labor as part of this warranty extension.

The announcement from May 20, 2022 has been revised to include the following changes: Nissan has experienced an unexpected high volume of dealer orders for headlamp assemblies during this campaign. Nissan continues to work expeditiously with the supplier to improve the supply schedule in effort to fulfill DBS orders as quickly as possible. However, headlamp parts supply continues to be very limited for the foreseeable future. Nissan is requesting dealer support to reduce the impact across the network and ensure our customers are taken care of. Nissan is requesting dealers to review their current open parts orders, and is offering a limited opportunity to 1) cancel unnecessary orders and 2) return excess parts in dealer inventory. In the review, please consider future orders, as parts 26060-3TA90 & 26010-3TA9A will not be returnable (J-coded) after October 21, 2022. Nissan reserves the right to make changes to part returns at any time and is subject to change. Parts ordered under PC861 Dealers can cancel open DBS orders by contacting NNA Campaign Parts at nnacampaignparts@Nissan-Usa.com, and including the required dealer order information. Dealers can return any excess campaign parts using RFC I-Code by the October 21, 2022 deadline and not affect your obsolescence accrual credit Parts 26060-3TA9A & 26010-3TA9A will not be returnable (J-coded) after October 21, 2022 Claims processing support Instruction for claims with inspection prior to May 20, 2022 (PC861); see item 2 under Claims Information section below o Requires work order with open date prior to May 20, 2022 with headlamp diagnosis NG

certain 2013-2018 Altimas will receive a postcard from a Settlement Administrator informing them of the terms of a proposed class action that, subject to final court approval, could extend the warranty on the halogen headlamps. The class action lawsuit alleges that 2013-18 Altima models manufactured with halogen headlamps have a defect that causes the internal reflecting surface to delaminate, resulting in dimming of the low beam headlamps. Nissan denies all allegations of wrongdoing and liability but has agreed to this customer service initiative in order to resolve the dispute. Beginning in December 2018, all genuine Nissan replacement parts were manufactured with a new design. The proposed settlement is still subject to final approval by the court presiding over the class action lawsuit. The court will determine if the settlement will be approved at or shortly after a hearing that is scheduled for December 20, 2021. If approved, the warranty extension will become effective 31 days after the approval is granted. Additional communication will be distributed prior to the warranty extension going into effect. To be clear, unless and until the proposed settlement is approved by the presiding court, there is no warranty extension and you should proceed with halogen headlamp-related claims as outlined below in #3 under what dealers should do. The proposed settlement, and the associated potential warranty extension, include many terms and conditions. Rather than attempting to address questions about the proposed settlement terms from customers, it is strongly recommended that you refer customers to the websites and/or telephone numbers listed below so that they can receive information from appropriate sources and to avoid providing incorrect and/or incomplete information.

SERVICE INFORMATION Occasionally customers may notice water vapor or fog in the headlamps.

Read full bulletin

The information, illustrations, and flow chart in this bulletin are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the headlamps is normal or not. Nissan?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. See this bulletin for further detail.

However, NNA is responsible for manufacturing issues such as distorted glass and cracks that are due to improper installation or damage to the glass during vehicle assembly. NNA typically does not find any type of cracks in the windshield due to stress after the dealership PDI. See this bulletin for further detail.
