diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U211B:43:48 stored in the body control module (BCM) when performing a Self-Test. This DTC sets due to an internal BCM timing issue during the self-test process. This specific code has no customer impact and does not cause any drivability concerns or warning messages. Clearing DTC U211B:43:48, reprogramming the BCM, or replacing the BCM is unlikely to prevent this DTC from setting. This DTC does not trigger a condition covered under warranty. Note: This guidance only applies to U211B with the specific failure byte 43 in status 48. Any other trusted real-time operation network (TRON) DTCs or different failure bytes associated with U211B are still applicable and technicians must follow Workshop Manual (WSM) normal diagnostics for those DTCs.

This may be due to the body control module (BCM) software. To correct the condition, download and run the "BCM - Programmable Module Installation (PMI)" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. This noise can originate from the right side of the instrument panel when the air conditioning (A/C) system is ON, recirculation mode ON, and the noise intensity may increase as the blower speed is increased. Inform the customers Ford is aware of the concern and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected to be published by 30-Sep-2025. This concern does not affect vehicle durability and customers can continue to drive the vehicle. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information and schedule a service appointment for customers once the repair becomes available.

1.5/2.0/2.3/3.5L EcoBoost engine and built on 01-Oct-2024 and through 31-May-2025 may exhibit an extended crank condition, strong fuel smell in the engine oil, high engine oil level and may have various drivability diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) with an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL). This may be due to an internal fuel leak of the fuel injection pump causing fuel to enter the crankcase and reduce fuel pressure in the high pressure fuel rail. Diagnose this condition using Pinpoint Test HP located in the Workshop Manual, Section 303-04A. If no DTCs are stored in the PCM, proceed from Step HP1 to Step HP5 and continue testing. For claiming, if fuel injection pump replacement is required, use causal part number 9D376 and labor operation code 9543A. If the root cause is identified as anything other than the fuel injection pump, claim the repair outside of this article. Note: Components damaged as a result of this failure mode

This may be due to the software in the APIM. Ford Engineering has de-activated the ability to update these SYNC4 APIM modules as applicable, and the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) will not present an update for the APIM module. Some existing directed repairs may be impacted, check Professional Technician System (PTS) before attempting any specific technical service bulletin (TSB)/special service message (SSM) and check field service action (FSA) landing pages before attempting any FSA repairs. For any vehicle repairs requiring a software update that includes an APIM update in the programming sequence, if the 5-digit product code for the APIM software is equal to or lower than 23187, do not attempt to update affected modules at this time. To determine the 5-digit product code for the APIM software on the vehicle, while the vehicle center display screen is powered up with ignition in run or accessory, go to Settings > General > About SYNC.

freeway speeds that have been isolated to the wheel/tire assemblies. This may be due to tire flat spotting. Dealers should refer to the all-new Pinpoint Test G located in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 204-04A, for help with diagnosing this condition. The currently available original equipment tire design has not changed. If flat spot occurrences continue after tire replacement, inform customers that driving the vehicle more frequently and minimizing the duration of time the vehicle remains stationary/parked will help to reduce flat spot occurrences. Returning vehicles with flat spot concerns must be diagnosed and repaired using Pinpoint Test G (referenced above). Engineering is investigating with the tire supplier and expects updates to be available in Q4 2025. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for updates.

rattle/scraping noise from the bellhousing area on start-up. This may be due to the torque converter studs contacting the engine to transmission spacer plate (separator plate). To correct this condition, inspect the engine to transmission spacer plate and torque converter studs for wear/damage. If wear/damage is found, replacement of the torque converter is not necessary. Replace only the engine to transmission spacer plate. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 303-01 > Engine to Transmission Spacer Plate for full spacer plate removal and installation. When reinstalling the starter motor, make sure the starter is flush with the engine to transmission spacer plate prior to tightening the studbolts. the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module with a soft brake pedal following vehicle start-up with various brake system illuminated warning lamps and/or brake-related messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). unexpected Watch the Road warning while using BlueCruise with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored related to the driver-assist systems. This may be due to the steering column tilt angle, driver seat position (height and backrest angle) and/or the software within the driver status monitor camera (DSMC). Replacing components is not expected to resolve this issue. Optimize driver head position by adjusting the steering column tilt angle and driver seat position (height and backrest angle) to ensure the DSMC (mounted on top of the steering column) has a clear view of the drivers entire face from chin to forehead. The driver must view the IPC display above the steering wheel and not be able to see the IPC display through the openings of the steering wheel from the seated position. Provide both Expedition and Navigator customers with a printout of the Lincoln Navigator Owners Manual page titled, Lincoln BlueCruise > How Does BlueCruise Work. The Expedition Owner's Manual is in process
