Before replacing this part due to Engine Light On with P1CEA (Boost Side EVAP Purge System Performance), check for: 1) Improperly connected or kinked/pinched Purge Hoses at the Ejector Tees on the Air Box or Duct. 2) Improperly connected or kinked/pinched Purge Hose at the Purge Solenoid or OBD Valve. 3) Improperly connected or kinked/pinched Purge Hose at the Intake. 4) Check for the correct Purge Hoses installation.
Data collection required for all 2020-2026MY vehicles with 3.6L PSU engines during any of their first 3 engine oil changes.
Read full bulletin
This data collection is applicable to all vehicle with engines with sales codes: ERG, ERC, EH3 and ERF. To assist with monitoring and quality improvement of the 3.6L engine, every time a vehicle comes for any of the first 3 oil changes, please use wiTECH to record the total engine idle time and the total engine runtime. 1. Prior to perform the oil change connect wiTECH diagnostic tool. 2. Navigate to the topology screen on the action item section. 3. Once the topology screen loads, disconnect wiTECH and continue with oil change.

Technician's observations can refer to spongy or stuck hydraulic lash adjusters. Exhaust lash adjusters found with a "spongy" condition (compressible plunger) leading to the assumption of being defective/malfunctioning. EXHAUST lash adjusters are designed to be COMPRESSIBLE by hand. Intake lash adjusters found with a stiff or stuck condition (non-compressible plunger) leading to the assumption of being defective/malfunctioning. INTAKE lash adjusters are designed to be NON COMPRESSIBLE by hand. Do Not Replace EXHAUST lash adjusters when the following condition is present: should be compressible, but they will exert a reactionary spring force during compression and return to full expansion without a compression force. Do Not Replace INTAKE lash adjusters when the following condition is present: should feel very firm and difficult to compress. Once the correct functioning of the intake and exhaust lash adjusters is validated with the procedure above, refer to the Service Manual "HYDRAULIC LIFTER(S) NOISE DIAGNOSIS" procedure. After the corresponding service procedures from the Service Manual involving the Lash Adjusters have been conducted, refer to the detailed instructions in the Service Manual to diagnose and/or service any other component.

has become detached, it is not necessary to replace the glass assembly. For loose or detached electrical tab, refer to TSB 23-007-25 for repair procedures on reattaching a loose tab. For burned or discolored gridlines on hard tops, DO NOT change the complete Flipper glass assembly. This discoloration is oxidation of the ceramic silver material and is normal. The Engineering standard call out the fact that this bus bar will change in color and is not a deterioration of the material or performance.

These conditions may be related to worn intake camshaft high lift lobe(s), and intake rocker arm(s) high lift slider. High mileage failure (10,000-60,000 miles). 1. Remove the valve cover(s) per the released service procedures. The use of a stethoscope or DTC specific cylinder misfire codes can help to locate the condition to the left or right bank. 2. Once it has been visually confirmed that there is wear on the high lift intake lobe(s) & rocker arm(s) slider, there is a special service kit for this type of repair which should be used, instead of replacing the complete engine/long block. All Promaster (VF) 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the transmission bracket to the transmission case fasteners are removed during servicing, the fasteners (Part Number 06511385A$) are one-time usage. Vehicles built prior to 10/23/2015 requires Service Kit PN 68461214AA; includes Transmission Isolator PN 68264483AA, and Adaptation Bracket 68264479AA and Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA Vehicles built after on or after 10/23/2015 will require only the Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA. 2. All 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the vehicle you are repairing has a crack in the flex plate or failed pump bushing inspect and confirm that both (2) dowel pins are present in the engine block, which align the transmission center line to the crank shaft centerline and visually inspect the dowel alignment holes in the transmission case. If the holes are damaged or elongated the transmission should be replaced to prevent further damage to the transmission/flexplate or pump bushing due to the inability to properly align the engine to the transmission during the repair. 3. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If pump bushing is scored or damaged and the dowel pin alignment holes are ok, replace the pump assembly as opposed to complete transmission. 4. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If vehicle is jerking/slipping with MIL code(s) P0740 or P2764, check TCC Solenoid operation. If TCC Solenoid is ok, the codes are indicative of a torque converter failure. Replace the torque converter.

SEAL, Input If looking to replace stubshaft due to ATX fluid leaking, do not replace PTU seals.

None of the seals from the PTU side will need to be replaced whenever the ATX stubshaftis replaced, even though V-seal (68408748A$) is in direct contact with the stubshaft,it will not avoid grease/oil leakage from transmission side. PTU V-seals are intended to act as a dust cover for stubshaft-PTU input shaft spline interface. PTU Input shaft seal (68408749A$) is intended to hold PTU oil and debris ingress; it should be replaced only if the fluid leakage is confirmed to be PTU oil and not ATX trans. fluid.

Use large screwdrivers inserted in the bushings to aid in purging. This will allow you to stand on the lower screwdriver to hold the damper stationary and pump the rod end easier. Perform purge before installing NOTE: Hand purge to be completed in a vertical position with the base cup sticker end down toward the ground and the rod side facing up.See CSN V41 for detail procedure.
