Recommended Diagnosis procedure: 1. Confirm if U0101 -Lost Communication with TCM or U0418 -Implausible Data Received From Brake System Control Module are present, if so check the Valve Body CAN Terminals any corrosion. 2. Check the wiring connectors between the ESM and the TCM and check voltage. 3. Check the pin header for the ESM for any bent pins. 4. If wiring and voltage are good and the DTCs (U11E3 - TCM Lost communication with ESM on D-PT CAN & U0103 - Lost communication with Electric Gear Shift Module) are still present, erase them with the scan tool. Reset ECU. 5. if DTCs for loss communication are still active at the ESM and you are still unable to shift then replace the Shifter module.

Diagnostic: Please make sure ONLY shifter reports loss communication. If there are other modules reporting loss communication, then follow the existing service procedure Repair Procedure: 1. Verify Complaint - ESM reports a Loss of Communication (LOC) DTC, but no other modules do. - If multiple modules report the same LOC, the ESM is not the cause (its not a gateway module). 2. Read DTCs - Relevant codes: U0101, U0140, U0155, U0129, U11C3, U0402, U0422, U0423, U0415, U145D. - If multiple LOC DTCs are present: a. Check battery health, system voltage, and TCM (including valve body). b. If TCM goes offline, ESM may falsely report LOC DTCs. 3. Check Environmental Data - Look for voltage/system issues at the same mileage. a. If DTCs clear, do not replace ESM. b. If not, inspect: b.1 Module connectors/pins: If damaged, dont repair shifter. b.2 TCM connectors/pins: Same rule. b.3 AGSM connectors/pins: If damaged, repair shifter. b.4 AGSM wiring harness: If damaged, dont repair shifter. 4. Review Past Service - Confirm battery and TCM-related repairs are still effective. a. If not, fix and clear DTCs. b. If yes, continue. 5. Check for Other LOCs - If other modules report LOC to the same module, inspect that module. - If not, repair the AGSM. Additional Description: - The ESM only communicates with the TCM and is fully controlled by it. - In non-combustion engines, the TCM is replaced by the PCM. - If a stored DTC in the ESM disappears and doest return, do not replace the ESM.

ADJUSTER Valve Lash Customer's complaint may include a ticking noise coming from the engine.
Read full bulletin
Technician's observations can refer to spongy or stuck hydraulic lash adjusters. Exhaust lash adjusters found with a "spongy" condition (compressible plunger) leading to the assumption of being defective/malfunctioning. EXHAUST lash adjusters are designed to be COMPRESSIBLE by hand. Intake lash adjusters found with a stiff or stuck condition (non-compressible plunger) leading to the assumption of being defective/malfunctioning. INTAKE lash adjusters are designed to be NON COMPRESSIBLE by hand. Do Not Replace EXHAUST lash adjusters when the following condition is present: should be compressible, but they will exert a reactionary spring force during compression and return to full expansion without a compression force. Do Not Replace INTAKE lash adjusters when the following condition is present: should feel very firm and difficult to compress. Once the correct functioning of the intake and exhaust lash adjusters is validated with the procedure above, refer to the Service Manual "HYDRAULIC LIFTER(S) NOISE DIAGNOSIS" procedure. After the corresponding service procedures from the Service Manual involving the Lash Adjusters have been conducted, refer to the detailed instructions in the Service Manual to diagnose and/or service any other component.

Repair Procedure: 1. Open the hood and locate the hood switch 2. Push in on the two locking tabs and pull them out. 3. Disconnect the wire connector from the switch. 4. Connect the wires to the same hood switch. 5. Push the switch back into the hold until both lock tab are engaged. 6. Clear all DTCs that may have been set in any module during this repair procedure. 7. In case the P152F/P152E DTCs persist, repeat the procedure with a new/spare/known good switch and repeat steps 5 and 6. 8. Replace switch installed during previous step for the original switch of the vehicle. If DTCs P152F/P152E are not present, leave the original switch installed and do not document the change of the switch in the repair process/narrative.

Engine Overheating Customer Complaint/Technician Observation: Customer complaint may include engine overheating.

Discussion: When dealing with a customer complaint of engine overheating, it is most important to understand exactly what the customers definition is of overheating. An explanation from the customer of what exactly happened is necessary. Overheating descriptions could include warning lamp(s), messages in the cluster, steam/smoke coming from under the hood, gauge running higher than normal, actual engine temperature higher than what the customer considers normal, smells hot, coolant leaking under the vehicle, etc. Observed engine operating temperatures of 245 F (118 C) degrees or lower are typical and are NOT considered overheating.

turning off, wipers not returning to position, heated steering wheel not working and/or steering controls inop, please follow these steps: 1.- Review if there is any active DTC. Refer to service library procedure and follow diagnosis steps. 2.- If failure still present, make sure all the switches', horn's, heated steering wheel, airbag's harness are properly connected and there is no corrosion or pinching, disconnect the switches & reconnect them, and reverify the issue. 3.- Verify if failure is still present, review if there is lack of communication between SCCM and BCM. For example, activate turn signals or wipers. 4.- Read at the BCM diagnosis session if BCM is receiving information from SCCM. Through diagnosis review if activation from horn, wipers or turn signal is requested and are working. 5.- Disconnect the SCCM fuse for around 30s,and repeat the previous steps to see if failure still present. 6.- Do a hard reset to BCM and evaluate if any DTC is set. Retest if failure still present. Review the active DTCs. 7.- Before replacing the SCCM disconnect it and reconnect it again. Note: Wipers position is not controlled by SCCM, verify motor wiper status if issue continues. If request from SCCM is sent to BCM, then verify if the communication to wipers is not working properly. If there are no DTC's active, physical defects, steering controls inop, wipers inop, heated steering wheel inop, then SCCM does not need to be replaced."

Check for electrical harness routing too close to speaker's rear moving parts, improper connection, and/or harness pinch or damage. 2. Ensure no loose components, including trim grilles, fasteners, surrounding IP parts, etc. were found when removing the speaker. 3. Try "bad" speaker at another IP location and see if noise follows speaker. Try a different "good" speaker at "bad speaker location" and see if noise still happens at "bad" location. 4. Remove the bad speaker and replace it back. 5. If even with this verification and adjustments the speaker sounds bad, test the individual speaker with the audio files provided in the Service Library Homepage under "Reference Materials" prior to replacement. Follow all these steps, if issue still happens; reach out to the engineer at Stellantis for more support, if the engineer doesn t respond in 30 minutes. Then the speaker can be replaced.

layer of condensation on the SYMPTOM: inside of the lenses Fig. 1. This may be reported after the lamps have been turned on and brought up to operating temperature, turned off and then rapidly cooled by cold water (such as rain, or the water from a vehicle wash). Lens fogging can also occur under certain atmospheric conditions after a vehicle has been parked outside overnight (i.e. a warm humid day followed by clear cool night). This will usually clear as atmospheric conditions change to allow the condensation to change back into a vapor. Turning the taillamps on will usually accelerate this process. This bulletin is to communicate the procedure for rear taillamp condensation clearing.
