PRNDM occur, it may appear that the PRNDM will not light up the first time the shifter is woken up via CAN. Please wait 2 minutes 15 seconds for the PRNDM lights to come back on. This is due to a software update feature of the Shifter lower (04670682A$). During PRNDM software update, the shifter will not be functional. NOTE 2: If Shifter is awake on CAN while disconnecting PRNDM from Shifter (04670682A$), U114C-00 will activate. This is by design and does not require replacement of PRNDM. NOTE 3: PRNDM supply Voltage from Shifter will be deactivated after 3 seconds if PRNDM is disconnected from Shifter while Shifter is awake via CAN and U114C-00 will activate. Power to Shifter will have to be removed for approx.. 20 seconds after PRNDM is connected to reset power to PRNDM from the Shifter. Power can be reset by removing battery power or disconnecting the shifter main connector. This is due to a safety feature built into the Shifter that will cut power to the PRNDM if a communication error is observed between the Shifter and PRNDM. NOTE 4: If Shifter is not responsive after Dead Battery condition, Charge Battery, and once complete disconnect battery terminals for 30 seconds and reconnect. Check Shifter functionality. Please return parts back to FCA Engineering if PRNDM is deemed non-functional after performing this TECHtip. ~

All Promaster (VF) 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the transmission bracket to the transmission case fasteners are removed during servicing, the fasteners (Part Number 06511385A$) are one-time usage. Vehicles built prior to 10/23/2015 requires Service Kit PN 68461214AA; includes Transmission Isolator PN 68264483AA, and Adaptation Bracket 68264479AA and Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA Vehicles built after on or after 10/23/2015 will require only the Fastener Service Kit PN 68329056AA. 2. All 3.6L/62TE equipped vehicles. If the vehicle you are repairing has a crack in the flex plate or failed pump bushing inspect and confirm that both (2) dowel pins are present in the engine block, which align the transmission center line to the crank shaft centerline and visually inspect the dowel alignment holes in the transmission case. If the holes are damaged or elongated the transmission should be replaced to prevent further damage to the transmission/flexplate or pump bushing due to the inability to properly align the engine to the transmission during the repair. 3. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If pump bushing is scored or damaged and the dowel pin alignment holes are ok, replace the pump assembly as opposed to complete transmission. 4. All 62TE equipped vehicles. If vehicle is jerking/slipping with MIL code(s) P0740 or P2764, check TCC Solenoid operation. If TCC Solenoid is ok, the codes are indicative of a torque converter failure. Replace the torque converter.

If there is no answer, attempt to duplicate the condition and take a vehicle bus log while the condition is active prior to clearing any fault codes. Please email log to dil.weerasinha@fcagroup.com To repair the condition, first check adjustment of shifter cable. DO NOT unclip the cable at this time. Disconnect the cable from the shifter pin. Check if cable lines up with the shifter pin WITHOUT any clip or knob adjustment. If cable does not line up, document the condition (pictures etc.), readjust the cable and verify if the problem still exists. If problem is solved, replace shifter knob (P/N: 6MZ66XSAAA or 6MZ67XSAAA) as a caution and return knob to QEC. If problem persists, replace the entire shifter assembly. This should include (1) shifter knob (P/N: 6MZ66XSAAA or 6MZ67XSAAA) (2) Knob set screw (P/N: 68374027AA) (3) shifter boot and bezel (P/N: depends S/C) (4) shifter assembly (P/N: 68364234AA). Power Transfer Unit (PTU) If you have a leak at the transmission to Power Transfer Unit (PTU) interface proceed with the following repair.

Read full bulletin

Do not replace the PTU for this leak. The issue is that the stub shaft on the transmission has become dislodged from the transmission creating a leak path from the transmission, not the PTU. Remove the PTU from the transmission. Inspect the stub shaft's interior differential seal to see if there seal lip damage or if it has been dislodged within the shaft prior to reinserting the shaft into the transmission. Follow Tech Connect instructions for replacing the axle seal if you find that the seal has been displaced within the stub shaft. Inspect the transmission differential seal for damage also. The risk of pulling the shaft out again still exists during assembly of the transmission and PTU. If at anytime in the assembly process you pull the PTU back off the stub shaft it may come dislodged again. FCA design changes to increase retention of the shaft are in process.

layer of condensation on the SYMPTOM: inside of the lenses Fig. 1. This may be reported after the lamps have been turned on and brought up to operating temperature, turned off and then rapidly cooled by cold water (such as rain, or the water from a vehicle wash). Lens fogging can also occur under certain atmospheric conditions after a vehicle has been parked outside overnight (i.e. a warm humid day followed by clear cool night). This will usually clear as atmospheric conditions change to allow the condensation to change back into a vapor. Turning the taillamps on will usually accelerate this process. This bulletin is to communicate the procedure for rear taillamp condensation clearing.
