within 15 feet of the vehicle, the BCM may continue to ?ping? the Intelligent Key keeping it awake. Keeping the Intelligent Key awake may result in discharging its battery in a much shorter period of time than normal (premature battery discharge). Example: The Intelligent Key should not be stored in a lock box or other storage container attached to the outside of the vehicle. To prevent premature Intelligent Key battery discharge, store the Intelligent Key more than 15 feet from the vehicle. If unable to store the Intelligent Key more than 15 feet from the vehicle (for example, when a vehicle is on display in the showroom); the following steps will prevent the BCM from continuing to ?ping? the Intelligent Key: - Disable the welcome light function using the on-board methods outlined in this bulletin, or - Disable the welcome light function using the CONSULT-III plus methods outlined in this bulletin. NOTE: If an Intelligent key is routinely stored within 15 feet of a vehicle while it is in dealer inventory, the Intelligent Key battery should be replaced before the vehicle is delivered to the customer. This will ensure the customer receives Intelligent Keys without premature discharge. Intelligent Key batteries replaced for this reason are not covered under warranty.

SERVICE INFORMATION Occasionally customers may notice water vapor or fog in the headlamps.

Read full bulletin

The information, illustrations, and flow chart in this bulletin are provided to help you in determining if an incident for water/condensation in the headlamps is normal or not. Infiniti?s new vehicle limited warranty does not cover physically damaged (cracked or broken) headlamps. All current headlamp assemblies are vented to the atmosphere (not sealed). - This is necessary to allow for expansion and contraction of air from temperature "variations" (warmer or colder) without damage to the headlamp. - Moisture in the air sometimes "travels" into and out of the headlamp assembly through these vents. - Certain environmental conditions may cause moisture to condense. - The fogging/cloudiness should disappear over time when the headlamp is in a dry environment. See this bulletin for further detail.

for each retailer?s Retailed Vehicle Open Campaign Report has been updated today in DBS. We made our best effort to reassign vehicles to retailers based on the most recent owner information we received. The complexity of filtering out brokers (banks, salvage yards, and insurance companies) and reassigning VINs based on updated owner information affected over 123K records between INFINITI and Nissan, so we are unable to summarize the changes at a regional or retailer level. We suggest the retailers download their lists and have their outbound call centers compare information if necessary. If you have questions, please let us know. Additionally, we will have some enhancements coming in DBS effective November 17, 2018: Owner Data Updates (NNA side): 1. VIN, Campaign Code, and Source are the unique fields 2. Compare all fields except Remove Flag and Comments to see if there is a difference. a. If there is same VIN, Camp ID, and Source and all other fields are also the same then the record will be updated without changing Remove Flag and Comment field b. If there is same VIN, Camp ID, and Source and any other field is different, then the record will be inserted, in this case Remove Flag and Comment field will be blank as this is new record. The remove flag is being removed so the retailer will understand the information they previously flagged for removal has been updated and should be tried again before reapplying the removal flag. c. The retailer benefit of A & B above is duplicate records for the same VIN, Camp ID, and information source with the same customer contact information will no longer display in DBS on the Retailed Vehicle Open Campaign Report.

SERVICE INFORMATION On February 26, 2016 Infiniti announced that it was sending a reminder notification to clients affected by AT&T?s planned discontinuation of the 2G cellular network. In June 2016, Infiniti communicated instructions to retailers to update new vehicles in their inventory with 3G compatible telematics control units. At this time, Infiniti is beginning the process of making 3G compatible hardware available to owners of affected vehicles as identified above. This upgrade may require an owner to make a co-payment in order to receive the 3G hardware update. Please refer to the Claims Information below to determine if an owner co-pay is required. This client satisfaction initiative includes both the hardware upgrade and a complimentary one-year subscription to Infiniti Connection Plus telematics service; this does not apply to PC454 (see page 2 for details). You MUST use Service Comm to confirm bulletin Applicability. NOTE: - Vehicle eligibility will be viewed on the second page of Service Comm. This activity is not displayed on the main page of Service Comm because it is optional for customers to participate. - Vehicles without Navigation are ineligible as they are not equipped with TCUs. Retailer?s Responsibility It is the retailer?s responsibility to check SERVICE COMM using the appropriate Service Comm I.D. for the status on each vehicle falling within the range of this client satisfaction initiative which for any reason enters the service department. If a vehicle subject to this client satisfaction activity was part of a retailer trade, the letter associated with that vehicle should be forwarded to the appropriate retailer for upgrade completion.

Flat Spotting can occur after the vehicle has been parked (not moved) for a few days, or longer. In most cases it is temporary. In extreme cases it can be permanent. Vehicles should be moved every 30 days, in one direction only, enough to rotate the tires 90 (see Figure 1). Moving vehicles as shown in this bulletin will prevent tire Flat Spotting. Expiration Notification - 2G Telematics Hardware Replacement Campaign Summary ...

Read full bulletin

In 2016, INFINITI launched a Client Satisfaction Initiative (CSI) that provided clients with an opportunity to update the Telematics Control Unit (TCU) in vehicles equipped with a TCU designed to connect to the 2G cellular network. AT&T stopped accepting enrollments on the 2G cellular network, and discontinued its 2G cellular network coverage on December 31, 2016. Once the 2G cellular network was discontinued, there was no access to the INFINITI Connection features without a TCU hardware upgrade. Because AT&T will shut down its 3G network on December 31, 2021, INFINITI is discontinuing this Client Satisfaction Initiative to upgrade from 2G to 3G compatible hardware effective immediately. 3G services will continue to be provided until December 31, 2021. Vehicles equipped with a TCU that connects to the 3G cellular network will have no access to the INFINITI Connection features, including Emergency Calling and Automatic Collision Notification after that time. What Retailers Should Do Service Comm will deactivate PC451, PC452 and PC454 on any VINs on December 22, 2020. No further retailer action is required.

Infiniti USA Electronic Field Communication Subject: Takata Completion Objectives for Q3 INFINITI is continuing to...

ask its retailers to urgently help increase customer participation in the Takata recalls to help it achieve 100% customer recall participation for the following vehicles: ? 2001 I30 ? 2002-04 I35 ? 2003-08 FX ? 2002-03 QX4 ? 2006-10 M Sedan INFINITI expects to upload the next refreshed owner list to DBS within the next week. We will also be reassigning VINs to retailers based on information changes. We didn?t reassign any VINs in Q2 to avoid any mid-quarter objective impact. If VINs were repaired out of network, the retailer/region with the original assignment received credit for the repair. This is an extremely serious safety issue and INFINITI is taking significant and unprecedented steps to increase client recall participation but it needs retailer help to achieve its remedy goals. A separate communication will be released later this month informing regional personnel of the requirements for bonus payout in Q3 and Q2 results. The Q3 objective is based on the average number of repairs in Q2 multiplied by the number of service days in Q3 (Mon-Sat minus any holidays). Retailer engagement is critical with this effort. It is a company-wide responsibility to make it a priority to replace these dangerous airbag inflators in affected vehicles. Further, increasing recall participation represents significant gross profit opportunity for our retailers.
