Incorrect VVT solenoid wiring may cause an inability of the variable valve timing system to activate. Inability to activate the variable valve timing system may cause reduced engine performance. Incorrect VVT solenoid wiring may also cause the Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) to illuminate.
