This concern will only occur when the temperatures is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and if the blower motor is removed while still cold, ice may be found on the blower motor cage. This concern could be caused by water leaking or snow ingestion into the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning case. Technician is to perform normal water testing diagnostics while the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning is running, looking for water leaking past the plenum cover. If water is leaking past the cover remove the cover and install a 12x12 snow resistant screen to the fresh air intake. Reseal and install the plenum cover cap using Kent air dry sealer or equivalent.

Certain Vehicles may have a condition where customers may experience increased brake pedal effort, hardbrake pedal, and/or potentially increased stopping distance. The condition is more prevalent at low speed when softly applyingthe brakes. The engine mounted mechanical vacuum pump outputmay decrease over time decreasing the amount of vacuum/power brake assist. Failure to follow recommended oil change intervalscould contribute to this condition. The Driver?s Information Center, (DIC) ?Service brake assist? alert will activate 2-5minutes after the vacuum level drops, and a Diagnostic Trouble Code, (DTC) will also be set. Even where this condition occurs,the hydraulic brake system remains functional but may require additionalpedal force. Please be aware that even if the vehicle exhibits this condition, it meets all federal motor vehicle safety standards forbrake performance. Dealers are to replace the vacuum pump and vacuum pump belt. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

P018B diagnostic trouble codes. The following steps may help to determine if this is caused by a fuel pressure sensor not reading the low end of the pressure range. Technician is to make sure the engine is cold and install the Multiple Diagnostic Interface along with Global Diagnostic System 2. Navigate to fuel system depressurize and at engine idle depressurize the fuel system. The fuel pressure sensor value should drop to 0 and the engine will stall. If a sensor is causing this concern the suspected sensor will not drop to 0 the engine will stall however the sensor will still read 30 to 40 pounds per square inch.

General Motors has released four field actions related to a condition in which certain vehicles may have an incorrect torsion bar built into the front seat belt retractors. Vehicles in dealer new inventory were placed on stop delivery earlier this month and the field actions were released as parts become available. This message is being sent to provide a summary of the status of these field actions. Part Numbers - An issue has been reported that some of the belt kit part numbers listed in these bulletins may not be listed in EPC. This makes it difficult to identify which part number to install on the vehicle. We are quickly working to remedy this situation. Until the correction is completed, dealers should verify part number progressions utilizing their parts system resources prior to reaching out for additional assistance. Pair the iPhone to the system then enter the Bluetooth settings menu, select the ?i? icon next to the vehicle name in the device and enable show notifications. The text messaging feature will be available on the next ignition cycle. However with iPhones text messages cannot be responded to when using the infotainment system, they can only be received. For android devices pair the phone to the system during the pairing process the phone will ask you to allow the vehicle to access the device contacts. A second question will pop up on the device asking to allow the vehicle to access the message access profile. Both have to be allowed for the text messaging feature to work.

Some vehicles, equipped with a Duramax Diesel engine, the transmission cooler lines may be rubbing on the front frame/bumper mount bracket. This condition could cause the cooler lines to leak. Transmission fluid may be seen on the ground under the front bumper. Some drivers may have difficulty selecting gears or experience transmission slip. This special coverage covers the condition described above for a period of 6 years or 72,000 miles (116,000 km), whichever occurs first, from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service, regardless of ownership. Dealers are to replace the transmission cooler lines. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

On September 14, 2017, GM ordered a stop delivery of certain vehicles. Some vehicles have been removed from this stop delivery order because they were repaired at the plant, or had been sold prior to the stop delivery and identified as such after systems refreshed. The revised list provides the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of all involved vehicles in dealer new inventory. Until further instructions are received, involved vehicles that are in dealers? possession (new vehicle inventory) must be held and not delivered to customers, dealer-traded, released to auction, used for demonstration purposes, or any other dealer use. All GM Certified Used vehicles currently in the dealers? inventory within the Certified Pre-Owned Inventory System (CPOIS) will be de-certified. Instructions for releasing the involved vehicles from this stop delivery will be provided in the near future.

One example of when this concern may be observed is if a customer quickly starts the car and immediately places the shifter in Reverse while the infotainment system is still in the initial boot up process. Cause This is a result of the RVC image being provided via an alternate robust RVC feed from the Video Bypass Module (NGI systems) or from the radio (BYOM2 and Info 3.0 systems). This alternate robust RVC feed is provided in the event that the primary RVC feed is not available for any reason just to ensure that the RVC image is always present when in reverse. Correction If this concern is experienced and no related codes are present, DO NOT replace any parts as it is normal for the RVC guidelines not to be present when the RVC image being displayed is from the alternate robust RVC feed. If this occurs after quickly starting the vehicle and immediately placing the shifter in Drive, the RVC guidelines can be displayed again in most cases if they are really needed by safely coming to a stop, placing the transmission in Park for a moment, and then shifting to Reverse again.
