If there are no observable vehicle symptoms, the DTC will clear using the "Self-Test" application in the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). Replacement and/or programming of the RCM is not needed to correct this condition. If there is an observable vehicle symptom and/or the DTC will not clear, follow normal Workshop Manual diagnostics.

The vehicle's rear belt monitor system will operate as designed once transport mode is exited and the vehicle enters normal mode after a key cycle. This condition does not affect vehicle durability, and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this fault message at this time.
