Certain vehicles may have an incomplete or missing braze between the harness bulkhead support bracket and the fuel rail assembly. If the braze is incomplete the support bracket may detach from the fuel rail assembly over time. Wiring may sever and compromise the function of the fuel pump and/or the 4 passenger side injectors. If the function of the fuel pump and/or injectors is compromised, the Check Engine Light will come on, and you could experience reduced engine power. Certain vehicles may have an incomplete or missing braze between the harness bulkhead support bracket and the fuel rail assembly. If the braze is incomplete the support bracket may detach from the fuel rail assembly over time. Wiring may sever and compromise the function of the fuel pump and/or the 4 passenger side injectors. If the function of the fuel pump and/or injectors is compromised, the Check Engine Light will come on, and you could experience reduced engine power. This concern will only occur when the temperatures is below 32 degrees Fahrenheit and if the blower motor is removed while still cold, ice may be found on the blower motor cage. This concern could be caused by water leaking or snow ingestion into the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning case. Technician is to perform normal water testing diagnostics while the Heater-Vent-Air Conditioning is running, looking for water leaking past the plenum cover. If water is leaking past the cover remove the cover and install a 12x12 snow resistant screen to the fresh air intake. Reseal and install the plenum cover cap using Kent air dry sealer or equivalent.

Certain vehicles, may have a condition in which the engine oil cooler (EOC) lines may leak and detach from the crimp joints. Exposure to cold temperature may also aggravate this condition. If the EOC lines leak, there may be an oil leak on the ground and if the EOC lines detach while operating the vehicle, there will be an immediate decrease in oil pressure. This will coincide with a warning on the driver information center display (?Oil Pressure Low Turn Vehicle Off?), along with warning chimes. If the customer continues to operate the vehicle, a loss of propulsion is possible. Dealers are to replace the engine oil cooler lines, oil, oil filter and refill the coolant.

GM is conducting this customer satisfaction field action to provide these customers with the improved tonneau cover system for their vehicle.
