If the warning system does not function correctly, technician will need to inspect circuit 33 for a short to ground between X141 and the Instrument Panel Cluster terminal 14. Then inspect check circuit 33 for an open between X141 and the Instrument Panel Cluster terminal 14. Also technician should check male side of X141 circuit 33 with an ohm meter to ground and should be close to 0 ohms with engine off and key on. Start engine and circuit should go (OL) indicating that the flow switch opened. Then, turn the steering to the stop in pressure relief and verify that the circuit stays (OL) to check the operation of the pressure switch.

Technician will need to use a Tech2 to check the verify engine run time on the Engine Hour Meter in the Instrument Panel Cluster Data Display/Data 1 List in the scan tool match. If the engine run time is less than one hour, the battery may have been disconnected, or another vehicle power loss event may have occurred, during vehicle manufacturing. Technician will need to clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes and perform a drive cycle. If the catalytic converter was replaced and the Diagnostic Trouble Codes set it may be a result of the engine run time restrictions no longer being in place since the vehicle is no longer new. If the valve train is not moving while the crankshaft is moving the front cover will need to be removed to inspect for a sheared cam sprocket locator pin. Technician will use this preliminary information to find the brake pedal position data parameters in the scan tool, and also to provide some additional diagnostic help. These issues may be caused by an incorrect brake pedal position sensor input to the engine control module. Technician will verify with the scan tool if the engine control module has the correct parameters for the brake pedal position sensor. Certain 2018 model year Chevrolet Express and GMC Savana vehicles, equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes, may have a condition where when the right rear wheel is driven over rumble strips a vibration in the rear axle causes the right rear wheel speed sensor (WSS) to produce an erratic signal. The ABS, Stabilitrak and Traction Control lights will illuminate on the Instrument Panel and set ABS Diagnostic Trouble Code C0050 0F. The Service Stabilitrak and Service Traction Control message may also be shown on the Driver Information Center. ABS, Stabilitrak, and Traction Control functionality would not be available until the next ignition cycle. Dealers will reprogram the electronic brake control module (EBCM) with an updated calibration.
