radio does not have a global positioning system location but OnStar is able to accurately locate the vehicle. Technician should check the installation of the COAX cables to be router correctly. Technician will gain access to the Radio or Human Machine Interface depending on the vehicle build. Install the EL-50334 test antenna to the Radio HMI and evaluate the operation. If the GPS signal is restored, inspect for incorrect coax routing as described above and if found, reroute the cable so it does not bypass the splitter.

If this continues to occur over an extended period of time, which is very rare, the seat belt pretensionercable may fatigue and eventually separate, which could reduce the effectivenessof the driver?s seat belts. Before any damage occurs to the pretensioner cable itself, signs of wear will be visible on thepretensioner cable cover where it has been repeatedly bent over the seat side shield. Dealers are to inspect the driver seat belt lap anchor pretensioner and replace if necessary. The repairs will be made atno charge to the customer.
