Pair the iPhone to the system then enter the Bluetooth settings menu, select the ?i? icon next to the vehicle name in the device and enable show notifications. The text messaging feature will be available on the next ignition cycle. However with iPhones text messages cannot be responded to when using the infotainment system, they can only be received. For android devices pair the phone to the system during the pairing process the phone will ask you to allow the vehicle to access the device contacts. The accelerator pedal can break at the stalk just below the housing due to the driver entering or exiting the vehicle with their foot resting on the accelerator pedal. If the pedal breaks, it would not be possible to operate the accelerator once the stalk has broken off. The vehicle would return to idle regardless of transmission gear position. The text messaging feature will be available on the next ignition cycle. However with iPhones text messages cannot be responded to when using the infotainment system, they can only be received. For android devices pair the phone to the system during the pairing process the phone will ask you to allow the vehicle to access the device contacts. A second question will pop up on the device asking to allow the vehicle to access the message access profile. Both have to be allowed for the text messaging feature to work.

Also gather all other diagnostic trouble codes in the vehicle and which modules they are set in. The transmission connector pins should be checked for damaged terminals or poor terminal fit. Also inspect the under hood fuse block for damaged terminals or poor terminal fit and mis-positioned fuses in fuse block. Inspect the ground for the Transmission Control Module. On some 2017 model year Buick Verano vehicles, the Passenger Presence Sensor (PPS) Module wire may have been pinched in the seat trim during seat assembly or servicing. If the wire is pinched Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B0074 (0D or 0E) may intermittently set along with the Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) setting B0081 (00). The fault and symptoms may be intermittent. When the fault is active the Passenger Frontal Airbag is suppressed. The Service Airbag System telltale is illuminated, the Service Airbag System message is displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC), and Front Passenger Airbag Status indicator will display OFF. If there was an active fault condition at the time the front passenger airbag was commanded to deploy, the airbag would not deploy. Dealers are to replace the Passenger Presence Module. The repairs will be made at no charge to the customer.

Technician will gain access to the Radio or Human Machine Interface depending on the vehicle build. Install the EL-50334 test antenna to the Radio HMI and evaluate the operation. repair the vehicles that may have unwanted or phantom phone calls. Technician will need to determine what type of call the customer is having that is unwanted. The vehicle may receive an incoming call just like any other phone. Typically the customer will hear the phone ringing in the vehicle. This scenario also includes incoming Bluetooth calls. One type of unwanted call can be made if the key pad is faulty the OnStar system will try to make a blue button call for shorted voltage in the circuits. The OnStar module could have an internal fault and produce a ″Phone Unavailable″ audio message also it may have a Diagnostic Trouble Code U1500 or B1000. Refer to diagnostics for the Diagnostic Trouble Code making sure to follow any applicable Bulletins or Preliminary Information sheets. A “Ready” or “OnStar ready” audio message heard while driving. In some cases it has been found that the customer is inadvertently pressing the ″push to talk″ button on the steering wheel controls. On rare occasions, other issues in the steering column or Steering Wheel Control system may induce this concern.
