The internal sealing of the fuel tank pressure sensor fitted in the fuel supply unit may fail. As a result, the sensor may read an incorrect value and set a fault code for the fuel tank evaporation system. This may lead to the Check Engine Light (CEL) being illuminated.

The wiring harness for the drive module (rear engine compartment) is routed in close proximity to the ISOFIX reinforcement bracket. During unfavorable conditions, the harness may rub against the bracket. Contact between the harness and bracket may produce a noticable noise. With longer exposure, the bracket may rub through the corrugated tubing protecting the harness.

When decelerating with the engine speed dropping from 5,000 rpm to 4,500 rpm, one of the following erroneous super-knocking faults may be stored in the DME: z FC 152108 - Super-knocking in cylinder 1; injection cut-off z FC 152208 - Super-knocking in cylinder 2; injection cut-off z FC 152308 - Super-knocking in cylinder 3; injection cut-off Always in conjunction with FC 152D08 (Super-knocking, injection cut-off). These stored faults do not cause any drivability complaints or engine warning lights. The fault codes are detected during diagnosis for unrelated work. CAUSE DME software error.

This enabling code will be automatically delivered through ISTA and it then activates the navigation system. Note: This VIN-specific NAV enabling code is then also automatically stored in the Repair Kit in the Aftersales Assistance Portal (ASAP). The automated INITIAL NAV enabling code request and activation of the navigation system will take no longer than 1 minute. After finishing "Delete Transport Mode," the navigation system in the vehicle will be active without entering the 20-digit INITIAL NAV enabling code manually or in ISTA. Low- and high-beam headlights are generated by LEDs, as in LED headlight. The additional high beam (high beam booster) is generated by a laser. - Multiple high-performance light emitting diodes emit highly bundled laser beams (blue light) via special optics on to a deflection mirror. The deflection mirror directs the laser light to a phosphorous membrane. There, by use of yellow phosphorous, a strongly illuminating white light is generated (as with LEDs) from the blue laser light. - The light generated by the laser headlight is a very white light. - Laser beams are not emitted by the laser headlight. With an almost 1969 feet (600 m) range, the additional laser high beam illuminates almost twice as far as the high beam from an LED headlight. When the high-beam assistant function is activated, the laser high beam is added to the high beam of the LED headlights above a driving speed of approx. 43 MPH (70 km/h). INFORMATION Inform the customer that the introduction of these expanded frequencies by the wireless mobile providers may be influencing reception quality. BMW is currently working with the wireless mobile providers in order to improve the quality of reception and help alleviate the issues that are caused by the wireless mobile expanded frequencies. Once we have more information about this situation this service information bulletin will be updated. Currently Satellite Radio is provided by SiriusXM for BMW customers via geosynchronous (GEO) satellites located roughly above the equator. This means that the satellite signal to some parts of the United States can come in at an angle as low as 32 degrees to the horizon. Due to this angle, buildings, hills, trees, highway sound blocking walls or other obstacles might block the satellite signal coming from reaching the vehicle receiver antenna and might cause audio cut outs, unless the wireless provider has installed terrestrial repeaters. Reception quality decreases the further north you travel, as the angle of the incoming signal gets smaller. Also adverse weather conditions might affect reception. At this time, in the event of a customer complaint or inquiry on interference noise: Do not replace any parts Do not program or carry out other work on the vehicle Explain to customer about the new Wireless Communications Service (WCS) signals When investigating Satellite Radio cutouts or a temporary loss of reception: Please compare to a similarly equipped vehicle. CAUSE Certain driving styles can result with a more frequent fluctuation between the use of the vehicle's service brake and its regenerative braking feature, this type of braking characteristic increases the use and consequently the wear of the outer brake pads.

After recharging the vehicle using the low current setting, the DSC warning lights (ABS, DSC, Brake) may be displayed for a short time (approximately 3 seconds) when drive readiness is activated.
